October Babies 2018

I have just read this lovely thread for September babies. Despite it being so lovely to see all the 12-week scans mummies-to-be were posting on there, I felt I couldn't fully relate to everything said on that particular thread as my little pumpkin is not due until October. Anyone else here in the same boat?

Currently 6w+4 days (according to LMP anyway Smile) and due on the 24th of October! First baby, and was very much unplanned (contraceptive failure), but now we've had time to get over the shock, we couldn't be more excited! Grin

That's an exciting storyGrin according to the midwife our due date is 12th October but she said it might change after the first scan. I am so looking forward to that !!!

@CobaltRose Exactly the same as me in terms of due date! Ours was (very) planned - taken over a year to get this far. @FromMaddie sounds like you're a little ahead of us, though as you say things can change at the dating scan.
I'm still feeling quite overwhelmed, probably mostly because I feel a bit rubbish physically and I don't do well with being ill generally, never mind the idea of weeks/months of it... Early scan next Sunday to check all is well. Fingers crossed!

@YorkshireBee I had my first midwife appointment this week. She's placed me at 8 weeks 3 days.
Nausea and the dizzy spells are horrendous here too. I keep being told that they'll disappear eventually, but I feel like time drags so much at this point Confused
I've been considering an early scan because of the cramps I keep having. Fingers crossed for yours Smile

@FromMaddie Doesn't it just! We said we wouldn't tell anyone until after 12 weeks, but it's really tough when you're feeling rubbish to try and pretend everything is normal. I'm glad I'm not actually throwing up yet, but my diet has becoming limited to bread, cheese and digestive biscuits. Not exactly nutritious.
Been told we won't see a midwife until around 10 weeks, so we booked a private scan. Feels very odd to see nobody for so long and just hope it's all going to plan... I think some cramps are normal early on and I guess your midwife would have asked enough questions to be sure everything was normal!
One day soon I might feel like I'm getting used to the idea of all this... Maybe!

@YorkshireBee I had to tell my line manager because of the way I feel in work.
Try ginger biscuits and sipping on tonic water. They don't always work, but might be worth a try. I'm also using travel wristbands - they don't make the nausea go but take the edge off it

Hi! I'm due around october 6th. There's a load of us due in October in the ante-natal club page if you want to join the thread? X

sparkles212 · 04/03/2018 19:40

Due 22 Oct according to LMP, but I ovulated late so I have a feeling it's going to be more towards the very end of Oct. Hoping for a Halloween baby!

Hello can i join?
I've had my scan today at 7+1 and saw the heartbeat. It was magical as I've had a miscarriage in November and hoping now to be lucky and carry the baby successfully.

There is already a thread. It's called October 2018 Baby Bus. Come and join us!
