I was in absolute agony breastfeeding with my first child and I'm looking for anything to help in advance for baby 2!

Are these breast pads any good?

I've never tried them, worth a go! I did use these hydrogel dressings by multimam which were great, very soothing. I take it you had lansinoh cream? If not get that.

I have no actual advice as I’ve never breastfed, but am due my first baby next month so breastfeeding is something I’ve been thinking a lot about! I’ve been reading wonderful reviews on ‘Silver Cups’. They are literally just that - silver cups that you put over your nipples between feeds. They cost £40 so are pricey but everyone who has bought them seems to be raving about them. I’m planning on seeing how I go before spending that kind of cash but if you had lots of pain last time, might be worth a google if nothing else?!

I found Lansinoh lanolin the best thing for sore nipples. In a purple tube. There's also the Lansinoh Therapearl for a cheaper/reusable option for sore breasts.

Lanolin nipple cream will be your best friend. Omg the pain I had feeding my son will a tongue tie I was in tears begging my husband to go and buy a bottle and formula. Health visitor recommended this and it saved me. I went from crying in pain at 2 weeks to being able to feed him exclusive. I tried the pads you put in the fridge but I found them uncomfortable

These are by Multimam, pricey but sooo worth it: www.boots.com/multi-mam-compresses-1-x-12-pack-10078094

I'd recommend some little lambs reusables. So soft and absorbent. And I had boobs like rocks which poured out milk!

Thanks! I tried the lanolin cream - went through a lot of it! I found it helped a little but but not that much.

Another vote for the multimam compresses. You can chop them in half so they go further.
