hi everyone

can i just ask everones opinion on this

me dp and kids been looking at holidays for last couple of months was planning to book this month for may 08 this was all planned before we knew about "bubbles", i am 9 wks pregnant,
but have a found a really good deal for a week in majorca sc next may,

my query is would anyone here book a holiday this far in advance? now you are pregnant even though its such early days, have pre warned the travel agent she says no extra cost except hiring of a cot,

but would u think it would be too risky to book something so far away when in such early stage of pregnancy ( had 2 mcs but had scan yesterday and saw hb) please help as if i want it i need to pay deposit tomrrow £100 please give advice

what would you do

Hi Mad
Why don't you go sooner, i.e before baby is born?

I just got back from holiday in Fiji and am 25 weeks, was really fab, had massage and got plenty or R&R.

I took my ds who is nearly 2, and he had a blast. There were many families there with kids ranging from 4 months old, some had 4 or 5 kids and looked to be having a ball, So either way definately book and go. I have a severe travel bug now.

i am guessing she doesn't want to go when she is still pregnant because she would have to go end of october/november time at the latest to still get insurance etc and it wouldn't be that warm then maybe?

cant go that soon as would have time to save for spedning and food etc, anyway dp not having any of it says cant afford to pay the full deposit by end of july and ,doesnt see point in booking a holiday for next year when my mum has already promised to take them aboad again next year.

looks like im stuffed then sorry going to go be depressed now.

Go,

The best thing about little babies is that they are extrememly portable.

mad4girls, 5 months will be a LOVELY time to go away with a baby - not mobile but hopefully not waking too many times a night! BOOK IT!

right worked out what dp problem is he thinkin that if we go away with the girls plus "bubs" that my mum wont take them away (coz they already ahd a holiday) he worried we wont get a "break"from kids for the whole year have spoke to mum, and she said if we go in may she will book for september with the girls so they get to go on too holidays and we get a fmaily holiday plus a break later in yr he seems happy enough,

also rang travel agent as it said u couldnt have a cot in the apartment we were lookin at she found one almost idenbtical that do allow cots only £20 more, same place etc so hopefully we will go and book on monday he seems to be melting to idea i hope so as really in the mood now, thanx for all advice guys you really made me push for it with dp, hel have a great time anyway, he just not great at looking further than a week ahead thats blokes for you.
