Has anyone suffered from piles after taking Spatone?

I'm just recovering from an episode of very painful piles. I started taking Spatone (two sachets a day) about a week ago after advice on MN, and wondered whether the two could be related as iron is linked to constipation etc.
I've only ever had piles once before, following the birth of my second child which involved a lengthy pushing stage.
I would really like to carry on with the Spatone as I'm a vegetarian and feel I should supplement my iron levels before my c/s in a few weeks time (in case of post-op bleeding). However I don't want to risk piles again.
Has anyone come across this before? Thanks.

Can't really help because I've just started taking it but perhaps you could cut down to just one sachet? Or try Floradix - I've been taking that for weeks, without any problems.

I dont think it would be the Spatone as it doesnt cause constipation, hence why alot of people take it because usually other iron supps do.
