Hair shedding

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and since finding out I've been shedding so much hair. Like strands falling out in my hands when washing, not loads, but enough to notice!

Didn't get this in my previous pregnancies, I thought Hair was supposed to fill out? Was looking forward to getting my volume back 😩

Anyone experienced this?

Yes. I knew I was pregnant with DC2 as I shed hair in 1st pregnancy. Mostly around my hairline, hence very noticeable so Id no choice but to crop my hair. It grew back no problem at all tho, both times. I hadn't realised shedding hair could be a thing in pregnancy but read that its not unique

Well that's a relief! When did it start to grow back? Was it just early pregnancy or all the way through?

Just early pregnancy, bit quite steadily and obviously so there was no way I couldn't have the big chop. Started to grow back almost as soon as id given birth (thankfully!). It's a hormones thing I'm guessing? I'm dire yours will be fine..I think my hair was in better condition after growing back

For me it was post pregnancy- my hair line receded!

Yes, I had it post pregnancy with both my others, but I had a lovely voluminous mane with those.

Think I may actually be bald in 8 months time if it carries on 😩
