I'm sorry for posting about such an unpleasant side effect of pregnancy but please can someone share any miracle cures for these awful things. I'm 34 weeks and in agony. Steadily getting worse over last few days despite covering with germaloids.

Anything to make me more comfortable? I'm feeling extra sorry for myself as I've hurt my back and can barely walk and I think it's going to be like this for the rest of the pregnancy (had same with first pregnancy).

Seeing midwife Thursday but she is very much "ahh that's just pregnancy for you" which is usually ok but might actually make me cry if I still feel this bad when I see her!!!

Thanks!!

Oh poor you. I remember the agony. Anusol suppositories give good relief.

Preparation H is a clear gel and soothes them. Or try witch hazel on a sanitary pad, it did that post both more for the main sting but i’m sure it can help piles?

Witch hazel gel from boots is about 80p. I used to squirt a little on a round cotton wool pad and sort of stick it on my bottom so it would press on the piles. It does mean you have to walk around with a cotton wool pad between your arse cheeks but o really found it was the best thing to relieve it. Also try everything in your power to avoid constipation- loads of water, fibre etc. You have my full sympathy.

OP I feel your pain (literally)

I gave birth 3.5 weeks ago and now have them due to constipation (iron supplements from hospital)

I'm wondering do they ever go?!?
