Bleeding 6 weeks

Hello

I have been really worried :( I am six weeks pregnant and have had brownish coloured discharge for two days. I’m just so scared I am going to lose the baby. It’s not a lot but have noticed it when I’ve wiped.
Help?!

I went to hospital today cos I’ve been bleeding more and it’s been proper red blood this time and they booked me in to have a scan in the morning, I’m so scared :(. Took a pregnancy test just before and it came up positive straight away though

You did the right thing going straight to hospital. Have everything crossed for you for scan tomorrow xx

Hi. I've had it when there was a problem and when there wasn't so there's no way of knowing without a scan. Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

Tattybogle89 · 03/03/2018 23:55

I had red too, when I wiped. Everything was fine and it was a bruise inside that caused it. Hope it’s something similar for u x

Thank you very much everyone x I had my scan this morning. The nurse could just see the yolk sac and no fetal pole but she thinks I am earlier than six weeks so it might be too small to see so I am going back in two weeks for another scan. I am still bleeding though :( x

Oh bloody hell winchester what a ride you are having. However I'm unfortunate to say been there done that. Take it easy.

Winchester13 · 04/03/2018 11:09

I’m sorry to hear that @RedWineAllMine :( thank you very much x I will have to try to telax and take my mind of it as I’m not going to find out what’s going on for at least two weeks. But I’m not feeling hopeful :( got my first midwife appointment on Tuesday too!

A way to find out in the mean time is by taking a preg test. However I don't understand why EPU can't take your blood, as they can find out if it's a loss if your HGC hormone in your blood keeps decreasing, by going back every 2 days to get your blood taken. Midwife should refer you to them again and request this. As I had that done. So things can be done, you just need to push for it and be down their throats about it. Suggest this to the midwife on Tuesday.

Winchester13 · 05/03/2018 08:41

Thank you I will ask the midwife tomorrow to take my blood. I’ve been doing lots of urine preg tests and they come up positive very quickly. It can’t be a good sign bleeding this much though :(

How much bleeding are you having? I have some every morning when I wipe and also had to stop having sex because it happens then too (sorry tmi) I'm now 7 weeks and have already had 2 scans both of which the baby has been fine and we saw the heartbeat last week. I still worry every morning when I see the blood but can't be at the EPU every day so will be mentioning it again when I go for my first midwife appointment next week. I can see myself having another scan though however I'm now sure if they like to keep doing them. I'm so scared of getting to the 12 week scan and nothing is there anymore :-(

Winchester13 · 05/03/2018 08:56

That’s great that the scan was fine and you saw the heartbeat :) I’m sure you’ll be fine. It doesn’t sound like you are bleeding a lot but just keep telling your midwife so they can keep an eye. Good luck ! X At my scan they could see the yolk sac but no baby yet and I’ve been bleeding like a period, proper red blood and having to wear pads :( but they think I’m earlier than I thought so doing another scan in couple of weeks

Hey OP, wondering how you are. Are you any clearer on the situation?

Winchester13 · 09/03/2018 22:17

Thank you for asking I’m very sad to say I had a miscarriage on wed afternoon :( when I was at work too, it was awful. I am so upset :( just been lying around recovering since and trying not to think to much about what could have been.

Sorry to hear the news. Devastating isn't it. But it's comforting to know you're not alone. Rest up, and take it easy. Wishing you a speedy recovery so you can try again.
