I have a DS who is 20 months. I'm 10 weeks pregnant, I'll try and make this brief but give info for context.

In my early 20's I had a cone biopsy and LLETZ. I mentioned this at my booking in for my first pregnancy and it was not followed up. Luckily I was part of a research project meaning I had extra scans. I was scanned at 14/15 weeks and mentioned the previous surgery they said "so you've been scanned every 2 weeks from 12 weeks for cervical length" - I hadn't, I hadn't even been referred to the prem clinic. They took a look realised my cervix was short and booked me in there and then for the stitch.

I have now had my booking in for this pregnancy where I gave them the full history (I'll be 40 in May, I also had post delivery pre-eclampsia and was in for three days after having the cervical stitch for severe bleeding).

I've had to chase the prem clinic as they never called back. The appointment the have given me is for when I'm 14/15 weeks and the clinic the week before has been cancelled. I explained that I was told last time I should have been scanned before then and when I was scanned at that time in my last pregnancy I was told I hadn't been monitored enough and needed the stitch sharp-ish. Their response was to repeat that the clinic the previous week was cancelled.

I'm not sure what to do - it all feels like history repeating. TMy GP said she is surprised I don't even have a consultant contact but doesn't know what to suggest. Basically no one is going to look at me until I'm in the same position as before. I've just been told if I feel pressure or start leaking fluids go to EPU.

Am I being over worried or am I just neurotic? Sorry for the essay......

I feel this is very urgent so you must must contact the PALs and let them know the urgency of this. Incompetent cervix is very serious and needs to have a stitch but they need to start monitoring first. Contact PALs and the head of your midwifery team asap.

Thanks - I tried calling the EPU who said a Dr would call me back yesterday.....they didn't. I'm going to try again today.
