Evap line?

Taken with FMU this morning on Superdrug pregnancy test (I took the other one yesterday and must have done it wrong as the control line didn't show up). Unfortunately had to deal with something so checked it after the 5 minute window (annoyingly). Is it an evaporation line?

It's hard to tell. My early positives were that faint but had more colour. I would repeat on a first response, but I do see a line.

Thanks guys! Have been reading lots of stories of evaporation lines on these tests so have just bought a different brand for tomorrow.

Hmm a negative...full disclosure here ladies, I am on contraception but began to experience some early pregnancy symptoms so took a test expecting a negative in all honesty but to reassure myself. DH thinks the test yesterday was wrong as I checked after the 5 minute time frame and believes the negative today. I still have a niggling suspicion that my contraception has failed. Not sure whether to re-test again in a few days or whether I'm just driving myself crazy! Today's test was on a clear blue digital as they had no first response yesterday.

Clear blue digital aren't as sensitive. I would try for FRER and have another go just to be certain

Clear blue digital are the work of the devil, less sensitive for detecting pregnancy and use a a different dating system to the rest of the world so cause unnecessary stress and anxiety when women can't make the dates a add up.

Ah ok thanks - looks like I better re-test! Will get a first response one today.

The strength or otherwise of the line unfortunately doesn't count for anything if you can't check it in the time defined on the package, so that test can't tell you anything. If you think you might get distracted next time, save your FMU in a jar for a moment.

I'd hold wee for an hour or two and then do first response thats what I did anyway and it worked in the evening. If its showing up on any other tests already it will show on Fr. Best of luck

Yes tested on frer - negative! Guess it was an evaporation line after all!

I'm not sure - I'm having really irregular cycles as I'm actually on the pill but I thought it had failed as I have been waking up queasy and sick for the past couple of weeks and even today (my first pregnancy symptom with DS!). It's obviously not though. I was quite excited to get a positive though so may be chatting to DH about coming off the pill anyway after this!
