Anyone else had a hypnobirth and unable to relate to "pushing"

I just want to start by saying this is not intended to be a goady thread Incase it comes across that way.

Basically I am due ds in a matter of weeks, and I am unsure what to expect of my second labour. I had a really positive experience with DD, from first twinge to baby in arms it was a total of 30 hours. I believe my active labour was recorded as 6 hours.

The problem I have in my mind, is that when I read about the speed of second labour's, often they are described as "3 pushes and then out" or "only 45 mins of pushing" and so forth.

I don't really remember pushing DD at all, I guess maybe some nudges during contractions, but at no point was I really forcefully pushing. When her head popped out I was generally taken by surprise.

Does anyone else feel like this? It some ways it almost makes me feel less confident towards my upcoming labour as I feel like I can't remember how to replicate what I did with DD.

You can't really compare to others especially if you can't remember any pushing so to speak...I hypnobirthed with DD2 and it was more of intense pressure but I still felt the ring of fire so I can't really relate. My 2nd labour was 2.5 hours at home compared to 70 slow labour hours with my first in hospital. So I think some 2nd labours are quicker but not always down to the pushing phase... Can be the speed of the contractions and the first phase etc...

I had a natural but slow first birth and had used some of the hypnobirthing breathing which helped a lot. I remember pushing for a while though. None of it was very painful.
Second baby - it was intense and crazy painful from the 1st contraction. I tried to breathe through it as before but was on gas and air which helped. Thankfully it was short - a matter of hours. I didn't push at all. I was like as if my body expelled the baby in two contractions, like I was a bystander!
I would suspend all memory of your first and just take things as they come. If I had to do it all again, I preferred the second time though.
