Hi girls sorry if the images are two much info but I have been suffering from this rash on the inner thigh that's by my vagina. It's a little sore but doesn't itch all that much. Is it chaffing? Is it poor shaving? Is it tight underwear rubbing? I have used sudocrem but still doesn't seem to go. Any idea what this could be ? I'm 18 weeks pregnant xx

Looks like sweat rash or Intertrigo.

Happens all the time to me and you can get some non medicated emollient called Dermol from the chemist that will take care of that quickly. You use it dry or as a soap substitute daily in shower or bath and will quickly heal it up

Normally caused by sweat or trapped soap etc in the area, common under the boobs too.

If it's quite wet then dry it off and wash well with dermol (I'm a fan as it's not a steroid) and we use it on our daughter since birth.

If it gets worse then nip to GP- it's probably drying out by now but it can get weepy and non sticky wound dressings will help protect it.
(Ps - it can smell but Dermol will solve that.)
Hope that helps.

I would go to GP with that. Could be thrush/ fungal. If it is its easily treated x

Or hve you been wearing a pad? I have become really allergic to Always/
Bodyform in pregnancy. Having to use natracare from Waitrose (organic and chemical free)

I had the right down my inner thighs and behind my knees during my pregnancy. Tried every cream under the sun and nothing worked. After multiple trips to the doctor I was finally diagnosed with dermatitis and prescribed steroid cream. I used that along with Aveeno cream and cool oat baths and it finally cleared up. I suffered for weeks in agony and itching and this was the only thing that finally helped.

Mine goes down the whole knickerline and under my belly, first sweaty then really ouchy and broken blood vessels and then after using Dermol for a couple of days it dries out and clears up.

I also use Permatabs (potassium permanganate) baths that help dry it out - not sure if safe in pregnancy so haven't used them but they work amazing if you do - you can make the solution up and put them on wound dressings as a soak and wash off after if you don't have a bath.

Feel free to PM me if any questions.

Cetraban is good, I just prefer Dermol. Whatever works though as I think both have Macragol in them which is what's needed.
