I need to eat constantly at the moment to stop me feeling queasy and to give me the energy to cope with dd (not eating that much at meals cos I get indigestion).

Has anyone got any suggestions for snacks that don't take long to make (like 5 seconds would be good!) and are reasonably healthy? Otherwise I may have to live on rich tea fingers for the next 7 months...

I had a look on the internet and all these baby websites recommend things like cottage cheese in pitta bread which is a) far too much effort and b) disgusting.

What about cereals? At this stage of pregnancy I was eating branflakes with cold milk - very easy to do! or toast (except I HAD to have marmalade.... ). Now at 34 1/2 weeks.. it's raw carrots.... straight from the fridge - no cutting up involved!!!!!

In fact... ds now joins me with a raw carrot.... !!

I know how you feel. If I never see another rich tea biscuit it'll be too soon.

How about chunks of cucumber, raisins, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, grapes..... I went nuts on the whole fruit thing (still do at 22 weeks) but there are times only some carbs will do. What about bread sticks (can dip in low fat houmus, tarama salata etc.) Or crisp bread with teeny weeny scraping of butter?

It does get better - now it's pure greed with me (4 nectarines a day sounds much to you?!)

The only way I avoid eating crap all day long is to spend a bit of time after a shop, washing and peeling fruit for snacks, so I can just tuck in when I need to rahter than go for something easier.
Currently in my fridge there is a chopped up watermelon, red and white grapes, strawberries and a bag of mini mint aeros
Before work every morning I chuck a load into a lunchbox and have something to snack on during the day.
A fave snack of mine when I'm pushed for time is a big chunk of brown bread (with the seedy bits) and a dollop of low fat cottage cheese - mmmmmm! Trying so hard to be healthy now and eat loads of fruit to ward off the dreaded piles! Have totally gone off vegetables and salad, so I'm eating masses of fruit to compensate.

Your fridge sounds a lovely place to be Bibiboo!!

Am the same Bibi - can never have enough fruit but ask me to eat a vegetable and I wrinkle my nose in a way that any five year old would be proud of!!

For what it's worth, I also like Nutri grain bars...!

Cereal bars and banans at the moment.
I have gone fruit crazy!!

I find i need to eat constantly too to stop me feeling queasy.

Another favourite of mine is a big lump of brioche

Have been to tescos and stocked up on fruit, dried fruit, breadsticks, cheese straws, currant buns, wholegrain crackers, toffee crisp (chocolate is good for you in pregnancy isn't it?)...
