Hi. I'm currently 16 weeks and 2 days pregnant. 2 weeks ago I went to hospital with pain and watery discharge. Doctor said everything looked normal. The last few days still getting watery discharge and it's starting to itch and smell. I have an appointment for the doctor today but feeling really nervous. Can anyone help. Does any else have watery discharge sometimes it's not watery and is in colour of white/yellow. Worried it may be my waters but doctor said 2 weeks ago it's not?

Sounds like it could be an infection. I'd see your GP.

Chocolatesaveslives · 22/02/2018 10:36

Sounds like an infection, try to book an appointment with a Dr to get it cleared up.

Spam88 · 22/02/2018 10:37

It doesn't sound like your waters, maybe thrush?

TheVanguardSix · 22/02/2018 10:38

It's most likely a UTI- terribly common throughout pregnancy.
Your GP is your next stop.

Isittimeforbed · 22/02/2018 10:40

Make sure you're checked for BV and AV as well as thrush. It may be that your GP needs to refer you to somewhere else for AV as it's slightly less well known but given it's itching and smells a bit it needs treating asap in pregnancy.

I have an appointment this afternoon hopefully it won't be something bad. Just constantly worrying after having a miscarriage already.

I had this the whole way through my pregnancy, probably started around 14 weeks when my morning sickness went

CP96 · 22/02/2018 10:48

Did everything go ok with you pregnancy? X

Just popped my gorgeous little 4.5 month old in bed! Everything was fine, sometimes id stand up and it would trickle out I had that much, mine was tested and it was just discharge so I just wore panty liners. Not one of the pregnancy side effects I expected Grin get it checked but I wouldn’t stress too much.

AutumnalTed · 22/02/2018 20:01

Hope your appt went well!

@isittimeforbed out of curiosity what does AV stand for?

CP96 · 22/02/2018 20:36

Appointment went fine. She said it sounds all normal but have done a swap test.

Sounds exactly like thrush. Try some cannesten cream

CP96 · 22/02/2018 21:56

Thank you will have to get some cream

AV is aerobic vaginitis, I learnt about it the hard way after having a late miscarriage although it wasn't necessarily the cause of mine. IIRC it's overgrowth of normal bugs and less obvious but potentially riskier in pregnancy than BV. But it's not picked up with normal swabs and I don't know how to get tested for it outside of specialist clinics.
