NEED URGENT HELP

Hi All,

Please can you share your opinions and thoughts?

I am supposed to be 9weeks and 2 days pregnant. i started having some pain in my ovaries today so I visited the local hospital. They carried out an ultrasound sac and found an empty sac of 23.7mm with no fetus/embryo in it. She asked me to come back in 2 weeks to check again and ascertain if there's anything inside or to declare a missed miscarriage.

Do you think it's worth me putting my hopes up for next 2 weeks or should I start preparing myself for the worse?

Is there any chance you have your dates wrong? I went for an early scan when I thought I was 9 weeks but I turned out to be only 7+5. They did find the baby (a tiny dot!) But if I had been any earlier I doubt they would. Sadly there's not a lot you can do but wait at this point, it must be very worrying so thinking of you

I think sadly it all depends on if your dates may be wrong or not. Could you have ovulated late?

I had exactly the same.... an empty sac, they said I had to go back in a weeks time and have another scan to see if the sac had grown, because they thought perhaps the embryo was just too small to pick up. So I went back a week later and the sac hadn't grown at all and they still couldn't find anything. Problem was that the person who did the first scan didn't measure the sac so they still couldn't be sure, so, they asked me to go back again the following week. As it was, the next day, I miscarried. For me, it all happened naturally and I didn't have to go into hospital for any procedures, so when I had the third scan absolutely everything was gone.
Hopefully for you, it's good news and it's just hiding... have you been bleeding?
Reason I went in was because I started bleeding.

Could you have your dates wrong? I was 110% sure I was 7 weeks 3 days but at the scan I measured 6 weeks 1 day. I had my 12 week scan today and babe is meandering 12 weeks 5 days, 5 days over what they said last time. All the best x

What type of scan was it? They could see mine in the sac at 5+0 with a trans-vaginal scan.

Unfortunately if it was me I would probably be preparing for the worst. I am sorry Flowers
