What did you dress your baby in during your hospital stay? I will be in 3 nights for elcs.

First baby was born overseas and the hospital put all of the babies in a long tshirt and wrapped in blanket. Thanks!

We were in for 5 nights in the end (2 nights for my EMCS and then another 3 for DS to have a course of antibiotics) and he was always in a short sleeve vest and a sleepsuit. Best of luck with everything! Smile

I took two short sleeved vests and babygros per day. A Muslim cloth for each day and two blankets. You will also need a couple of hats, baby mitts or socks for their hands as they scratch their face a lot! xxx

Short sleeved vests and sleepsuits. I took 5 of each for a two night stay.

Short sleeved vest, babygrow and hat. I took 3 for each day but they all ended up being waaay too big so DH had to stop by the supermarket on the way to visit me to pick up some small baby ones!

Thanks, this is really useful for me too. I'm having a June baby, but I guess it's pretty similar all year round as hospital wards always seem to be hot as Hades.

2 vests and sleepsuits per day, one for day time and night.

One hat- they don’t get dirty.

Some people have suggested scratch mitts but I never bothered with them, plus most sleepsuits in newborn sizes from the likes of M&S, Mothercare and Next have intergrated mitts which are handier as they don’t get flung off!

A nice blanket

Some bibs if you’re ff.

One short sleeve vest and babygrow for each day plus 1 spare, 2 hats (the one they put on straight after birth gets gross), nice blanket. I would take a pair of baby socks - if baby needs a cannula they help it stay on the hand! Don’t bother with scratch mits. Oh and muslins
