1st was 4 weeks early, 2nd was....

Midwife has told me they expect me to go early again. First DS came at 36 weeks, spontaneous labour - no reason for labour to start other than baby/body being ready. She has said she suspects that I just can't carry a child to term.
Anyone else been in a situation similar? When was dc2 born, if dc1 was early?
When should I worry about things like hospital bags, etc?

I'm 28 weeks now, so still a while to go (hopefully!)

But my best friend had ds1 at 36+2, ds2 at 35+6. No issues both v healthy and 7lb+, just ready to come out.

My consultant said it's about a 1 in 3 chance of another prem after a premature birth with no known cause.
Mine was slightly different in that DC1 was premature due to placenta previa which thankfully I didn't have the second time. I packed my bag at 25 weeks though just so I had overnight stuff if needed. I know it makes no difference but felt better knowing I was more organised than the 1st time

when they r ready they will come !

DD at 36+6 and DS was 10days early.

dc1 - 36+5
Dc2- 39+0

1st was 36+3, they never found a reason, second 40+3, and weighed nearly 3lb more. I was happy to be keeping him in but also shocked at how much huger I got! Third 39+2 so somewhere in middle.

Dd1 - 36+0
Dd2 - 39+1

Also no reason for dd1 to be early -she just couldn't wait!

I so hope he stays put, I'm only 28 weeks right now but it's looking like I'm not gonna have a birthing partner at all and I'm just starting to freak out a little
