I keep feeling slightly crampy/achey altho not painful. Also keep checking my knickers as feel wet (sorry if tmi) but only a little clear/normal looking discharge. Am only about 5 weeks gone and terribly anxious as scan yesterday only showed gestational sac (well formed) inconclusive embryo - altho understand this is normal at such an early stage.

My boobs are achy - look bigger (omg as already 34g) and nipple area bigger and pinker.

I have done tests everyday since sunday - except today.. all positive. Want this little one so so much but so darn frightened.

Am I alone in feeling like this?

Completely normal. I remember being 10 weeks and still running to the loo because I thought my period had come.

Awen, I too have been experiencing odd niggly pains in abdomen, sometimes feels like someone is jabbing a stick in my tummy, I'm about 7 weeks and am having a scan on 15th as well as I'm scared sh!tless I'm going to misacarry again , so I know what you are going through.
Still having m/s which is steadily getting worse, i think that's a good sign!

The consultant called me on Thursday. She seemed very optomistic about our early scan and said that it is normal to have discomfort as all stretching and growing. It isnt as bad as it was and only now and then now. My boobs tho are another matter! Been quite lucky so far in terms of m/s.

for what its worth I had this too with all my pg, I know exactly what you mean about the wetness down below and I know my sis had same feeling. I kept goign to the toilet expecting to see blood. I'm sure the crampy pains went away from about 3 months onwards but unfortunately the wetness never went away till after the birth

sorry mum34 that you have this. I think it is fairly common to bleed in early preg and some women bleed throughout preg. I think the time to become concerned is if it is heavy and accompanied by alot of pain and cramping.

I bled with my ds(7) although a lot furhter on.. attributed to my low lying placenta moving.

Oh, I'm so relieved to find this thread. I have just found I'm pregnant last friday, so I'm not even 5wks yet. I'm just so worried as I'm having cramps, similar to pre-menstrual cramps. I had an ectopic at the new year and was convinced it may all be happening again. I haven't had any bleeding this time....yet, but just clear discharge which I didn't get last time. I didn;t get achey boobs last time and also I have lost all sence of taste!!! Anyone experienced this?

MamaMaiasaura · 08/05/2007 10:45

cramps and discharge seem normal. xx hth

Thanks everyone for this thread! I'm almost 6 weeks and was really worrying about the pains that I was having, but now I feel much better about it all.

And I've already outgrown my giant sports bra...

Babylovesmuffins · 08/05/2007 13:47

Congrats Pinkelephant! I lost all sense of taste at the beginning too and completely went off tea (I used to drink gallons of the stuff) as I just found it so tasteless. I only started back on tea at about 20 weeks and even now I don't drink much of it! Pregnancy can really affect your sense of taste - I also completely went off the taste of garlic, so much so that being anywhere near garlic would make me retch!! Now I just feel nauseous after eating anything with garlic in it.
The other symptoms sound normal for pregnancy. I wish you all the best this time.
