Maternity leggings

Hi all! I'm pregnant with baby number 4 and really struggling to find good quality maternity leggings. I'm quite petite (5'2") but pear-shaped, so in pervious pregnancies leggings were either too pmg and baggy at the knee, or too thin to cope with the way I tend to carry babies on my butt 😁. I really just want something comfy that doesn't go see through when I bend over. Any one had any joy with this? I don't mind paying a bit more if they're good quality.

Thanks

Mine were from H&M and were thicker, better quality than any non-maternity leggings i’ve had

ShuttyTown · 19/02/2018 19:49

Next have excellent ones. I'm still wearing a pair from my first pregnant 6 years ago Grin

I've had 2 pairs from h&m, one pair have been brilliant the other holed really quickly.

KLHL777 · 19/02/2018 20:01

That's great thanks! I had a look at next and the reviews seem like they've unfortunately recently changed the design of their leggings and now they aren't as good. Will give H and M a go.

m&s ones are so good, but only available online

Hulaballoo · 19/02/2018 20:03

Im 5,3 and carry on bum and h and m are good but quite long in the leg but I'd rather it fit above and be a bit loose at the ankles.... X

CoolAsACourgette · 19/02/2018 20:09

I'm 5'3 and my Asda pair fitted perfectly. Cheap as chips and and very good quality.

WhyTheHeckMe · 19/02/2018 20:10

I love the fit of h&m but in the last month both pairs have developed at least 2 holes in each so the quality isn't brilliant!

Creatureofthenight · 19/02/2018 20:14

I got some petite length from ASOS Maternity - v comfy and quite thick material.

KLHL777 · 19/02/2018 20:43

Will maybe try asda too, they do get very good reviews.

New look do petite maternity ones which are great

ClareB83 · 19/02/2018 20:51

I've got some H&M ones that are a bit thin and I only wear under long tops/dresses. But they are very comfy.

I've got some Happy Mana yoga pants from Amazon that are thicker and very comfy. I like that they look a bit more trouser like. They come in several lengths too.

Seraphine. Expensive but I wore them pretty much every day and so worth it!

RosaBaby2 · 19/02/2018 21:39

I have 3 pairs all from Asda, they’re not bad, could he thicker but not see through and I always wear them with a long top anyway! I’m 5’3 too.

MsJuniper · 19/02/2018 21:46

I've had no luck with maternity wear during this pregnancy. All the manufacturers seem to assume I've grown 3 inches taller as well as wider (I'm 5'3"). I've tried loads of different styles and shops. Might have one last go with tips from this thread!

cindersrella · 19/02/2018 21:47

H&M were brilliant for me 😀

KLHL777 · 19/02/2018 22:20

LoveB Could you see your pants through the Seraping ones if you bent over? Or where they thick enough? Don't want to spend all that money on them if I have to be careful what top I wear.

The Mothercare ones are pretty see through but so comfy. As are JoJo ones but Mothercare have more thigh space.

ShakeVigorously · 19/02/2018 22:30

I bought a twin pack from New Look, they are lovely and wash really well.
I live in them now.

Rainshowers · 19/02/2018 22:41

ASOS petite were my favourite (I'm only 5'2) But they never seemed to be in stock! I had to keep checking when I wanted a second pair and randomly got lucky after a few weeks.

Porgs · 19/02/2018 22:44

Have lived in H&M and new look maternity leggings and am a 5ft 2 pear too. Only trouble has been trying to find a size small - they are like gold dust!

speakfriendandenter · 19/02/2018 23:07

From some great advice on here and from friends, I bought jojo maman Bebe Ines. They are fab! Nice and thick and reach right to the top of my bump. Expensive but wash really well so worth it.

MakeTodayAmazing · 19/02/2018 23:15

I bought so many pairs before I came across Asda. I found them to be the best. The H&M ones I got were quite thin and became saggy at the knees & Seraphine ones I found quite shiny & just didn't like the material. I thought Asda was the best value for money & bought lots of pairs. I now wear non maternity Asda leggings and sweatshirts instead of pyjamas so I can pretend I'm semi-dressed when people come to the door on the days I'm not out at baby groups Grin
