So, I've had 2 sections and I will be having a 3rd with my current bump......

Just had worst dream last night that I died during the section, leaving my other 2 kids to go back to their Dad, they then lost all ties with my partner now and didn't see new baby, and leaving him with Baby and no where to live, I have housing association house and he's not on lease so just had worst dream...........

I might be given the choice to try to have natural, although I am 99% sure I won't but I see cousultant next month so if he gives me the choice do I....or don't I.....don't know! x

Hi Gemma...Nothing much to add, I'm afraid but this is my biggest fear...that something happens to me during childbirth and I leave my two dds behind with dh. I know dh would take care of them but he is an older dad and we have no extended family which I think exasperates my anxiety. To be honest I am anxious about this anyway...eldest dd is coming up to 12 and I think to myself if I can make it until she is 18 then she could potentially care for her younger sister. I know that pregnancy/childbirth are currently exaggerating these thoughts.
I have also had quite confusing/frightening nightmares too lately (I'm 34+5) - I'm putting this down to being hormone related. I want this all to be over with now x

Nightmares are really common in pregnancy,
I've woken up numerous times in a panic from nightmares during my previous pregnancies. When my daughter found out I was pregnant this time she had a nightmare that I died in childbirth and she told me that I'd had a baby girl and had given my partner the 3 names that were on my shortlist and he picked one. Think she's worried too since having that nightmare!

I think this is really normal. I remember being terrified that something would happen whilst I had my second and my first would be left motherless. I know it doesn't make it easier to deal with, but it is really very normal.

My eldest daughter (11) also fears that something that might happen to me during childbirth which hasn't helped with the anxiety. Of course outwardly, I have reassured her that this is highly unlikely etc. but it really brought it into focus and she is obviously worrying too where as the little one (4) sees it as a big adventure - that she might get to go on a sleepover somewhere which does make me smile x DH said that kids are more resilient than you think, which is probably true.
