Period type cramping in early pregnancy

I've had this on and off at varying intensities since Wednesday or Thursday.

According to my LMP I'm 6 weeks, however I'm fairly sure I'm earlier than that as I think I must have ovulated late. When I took a digital last week it said 1-2 weeks. It's very confusing. I didn't get a bfp until I was 8/9 days late.

The cramping sometimes feels like AF, sometimes feels like ovulation, sometimes feels like an upset stomach.
I've spent hours googling ectopic pregnancies. I'm driving myself crazy Sad

I've added a pic of a Tesco strip I took today and the FRER I took on Friday.

I have this too and had it with my last pregnancy, I think it's totally normal as the changes happening in your uterus xx

Are you me? I had exactly the same thing. Now 5 weeks +2 (I think).

I had a period so didn't think I was pregnant, didn't test positive until I was about 7 days "late".

I was assured by my obstetrician MIL that it is very common to cramp & bleed a little in early pregnancy.

Nothing much more to add but you're not alone!

I had this when I was about 5 weeks. Was told it's normal as long as your not bleeding.

newmum2018385 · 19/02/2018 10:25

Sorry heavy bleeding I heard to spotting abit of brown blood can be normal to.

holycityzoo · 19/02/2018 10:28

I've had 4dc and yes totally normal. I felt like I was about to come on my period for about the first 9 weeks of each of my pregnancies. It's everything stretching I often felt like I'd pulled a muscle too.

SpongeCake23 · 19/02/2018 10:33

I've had no bleeding either.

I feel like maybe I'm having a urine infection too.

I'm so concerned about an ectopic.

I am 11 + 3 and my cramping is only calmed down in last week or so and still having occasional twinge and I had a scan last week and all was ticking along nicely. Easier said than done I know, but try not to worry unless it is very painful and accompanied by blood. The uterus is stretching a lot already hence the pains

Oh yeah, it's all part of the fun, OP. In fact when I had DD, I was so sure I wasn't pregnant because I was having cramps! except that they went on for about 2 weeks. If there's no (usually red but I would get checked out for any colour) bleeding, it should be a good sign.

Period pains, sore boobs, tired, moody. Is it early pregnancy? Is it PMT? Is it the menopause? Who knows! Good luck guessing, mwa ha ha.... great game, Mother Nature! Hmm

Two of my friends have had ectopics and they both said the pain was horrific. It was also in their shoulder blades as well as the uterus.

Try not to worry, but if you think it's more than just mild on-off cramps, see your doctor.
