Has anyone got pregnant on their period?

I am a mother of a 21 month old boy. I only just got my period back for the first time since his birth two weeks ago. At the first sign of my period (day 1 of period) my partner and I had unprotected sex (thinking there's no way I'd be ovulating around this time). However two weeks down the line I've had a few days of light spotting, a full and crampy feeling in my uterus, constant heart palpitations and general feeling of malaise. I know I just need to take a test to see if I'm pregnant but I was just wondering if anyone else fell pregnant in this way. My cycles are usually like clock work and I know when I'm ovulating but as I've only just started my period perhaps they're going to be a bit more erratic to start with. Or perhaps I'm just not used to my hormones returning to normal? Or it could be ovulation spotting though I've never experienced this before. Any advice/experience appreciated.

Ovulation spotting is a possibility. Get checked out as it may be something else. Upto date in smear tests?

During your period your womb is shedding its lining so while technically possible the sperm could survive long enough and survive the evacuation- it’s just incredibly unlikely

Yeah, I think it'd be highly unlikely but nothing is impossible. I have a Pap smear next week which will be 3 years from my previous one. I would have expected to have had abnormal bleeding in those 21 months since I had my son if it was anything sinister. I did have treatment for abnormal cells in 2015 though so I'm very conscious on getting my Pap test done.

In reality is most likely to be new hormones, mixed with being run down/ stressed. But I feel just like in did in the early days of my first pregnancy.
