Just wondered if anyone else has experienced light cramping first thing in the morning (no bleeding) at 6 weeks pregnant. Feels a bit like dull period pain

Did they tell you the measurements of yours?

How are you getting on? I had some bleeding again this morning. Trying not to worry until my 2nd scan on Tuesday. Hard to not keep thinking about it

I'm fine, eating a lot of crap, nipples look disgusting, feeling lightheaded today that I could faint and cramps come and go but don't have a real pregnancy symptoms today really. If it's not filling a pad within half an hour you should be fine but if you're worried go to the hospital I would if I was bleeding again!! @ER1992 and they might do an emergency scan x

ER1992 · 25/02/2018 12:30

It's not filling a pad it's just when I wipe which is the same as before. Being a Sunday I don't think I'll be able to be seen today. Just going to keep an eye on it and if it gets any worse i will call the EPU in the morning

How odd maybe go tomorrow have you been to see your midwife yet? @ER1992

Flatwhite32 · 25/02/2018 12:52

@ER1992 I had bleeding at 6 weeks (enough to fill a pad). I'm now 19 weeks (tomorrow) and the cause of the bleed was never found.

ER1992 · 25/02/2018 13:26

No midwife appointment isn't until I'm 8 weeks. Have you been yet?

That's reassuring that you are doing ok after a heavy bleed

Not yet mines on the 9th March then have to register for a hospital after @ER1992

Joining the club.

I had a dark red bleed on Tuesday and have been spotting brown ever since. Had an early scan on Friday. According to dates I was told I was around 6 weeks but when they scanned they could only see the yolk sack so said I was under 6 weeks. I have to go back on the 7th to see how things have progressed.

I felt reassured at the time but two days on and I'm over-thinking again.

Firstly I haven't really had any nausea or sore boobs which is worrying me in case my hormones aren't strong enough.
Secondly I'm worried that on my next scan nothing will have changed or I'll find out it's not a viable pregnancy.
Thirdly every time I go to the toilet I feel afraid to see if there's blood in there.

Just all-round stressed out.

Never thought I'd wish I had morning sickness! Would just feel a little reassuring right now.

Been trying to just be philosophical about it and have been saying mantras to keep calm. But it's not helping all of the time.

How are you staying calm?

Flatwhite32 · 25/02/2018 18:24

@KnitKitty when I went for a scan at 6 weeks due to bleeding, they could only see a yolk sac too. No fetal pole, no heartbeat. Had an excruciating wait of 12 days, but went back for a viability scan and an embryo and heartbeat was found. Xx

Markygirl1995 · 25/02/2018 19:46

@KnitKitty stressing isn't going to help the baby and it's still early days just keep going be strong you can do this you're a strong woman

ER1992 · 28/02/2018 14:01

Had my 2nd early scan yesterday and saw a heartbeat which is good news. Now measuring at 6 weeks 1 day. However I still keep bleeding. How am I supposed to not keep worrying about it? Can't be going up there every other day. It's worse in the mornings and dies off throughout the day. Anyone else had this?

I bled so much in my first trimester. It was awful and scary. But basically you just have to keep going. If you fill a pad in an hour go back to EPU. otherwise just cry at Home occasionally.

Hopefully it'll settle down as your pregnancy progresses. I've been fine since about 15/16 weeks.

ER1992 · 28/02/2018 14:27

It's so difficult. Luckily it isn't filling a pad at all and only occasionally has left a couple of spots in my knickers but its that horrible feeling when you wipe and see it it! The ladies at the EPU yesterday tried to reassure me that if it carries on the way it has been that I just need to mention it at my midwife appointment in 2 weeks and only to go back to EPU if it becomes heavy or if I get pain any pain

Hope it's ok to quickly join this thread, fingers crossed for everyone having early scans soon. So last week (around 5 weeks) I had flu which was not great, this week I've had what I think was food poisoning from lunch on Monday and couldnt keep any water down for 24 hours Sad Today I have eaten a banana but nothing else as I'm having severe stomach cramps still. Would you go to the GP at this point and ask for an early scan? I've had 2 miscarriages in the past 6 months so may be worth it from that alone? Or are these cramps normal (didn't have with my other two children)?

ER1992 · 28/02/2018 19:16

I'd probably contact the GP just to see what they say. Hope you get better and everything goes ok for you

Yer loads of cramping in first trimester... Was painful and no sympathy from anyone as they all day "just wait until your eight months"!!! Scans thankfully all ok though :-)
