Hi,

I was diagnosed with this a week ago and just looking for some advice, is anyone in the same boat? I'm 29 + 2.

I've been given ursodeoxycholic acid, vitamin K and dermocool (miracle cream 😍) for the itching! Does anyone find that taking the urso later in the day helps the itching at nighttime? I'm finding nothing helps but the cream, but that is only a few hours relief! Thanks all Smile

I was diagnosed at 28 weeks. Itching came on suddenly and was everywhere. Luckily I was diagnosed and given meds within 3 days so the itching died down well.

This week however the itching started again and my BA have gone from 5-27 in a week! I bought some aqueous menthol cream off amazon that I’d read was recommended. I think everyone’s itching can be so so different and doesn’t always correlate with levels.

I have an induction booked at 38 weeks.
I take 500mg in the morning and evening so can’t comment on that but try antihistamine just before bed that should also help x

Thanks both for your replies Smilewaiting on an appointment with the consultant midwife on Tuesday so she can advise on induction date, Confused I hadn't even thought of antihistamines at night - now that you've mentioned it, it seems so obvious, going to give that a go starting tonight (I'm already on antihistamines but been taking these in the morning!!)

Also SunshineSaz, you can get the aqueous menthol cream on prescription if that helps, I've got a big tub of the stuff, I find it brilliant Smile

They prescribed antihistamines along with the urso/vit k (but no cream). Hope it helps a bit.
That’s good to know you can get it prescribed thanks girl.

Also there is an open Facebook group icp support. I find it useful to read the posts and links as so many different areas treat OC differently.

Good luck with your appointment x
