Braxton Hicks?

Just curious really, I'm 32 weeks on my 2nd pregnancy. Never had Braxton Hicks with my first and was wondering what everyone else felt they were like?

Currently laying on my side with period like pains all around my hips and lower back. Should add I do have SPD but I did have similar pains twice before that kicked in at completely random times.

I had BH contractions at 38 weeks which I didn't feel until I was in hospital.for monitoring and realised it showed on the machine. Genuinely never noticed before then. It felt like a tightening sensation but originating at the top of bump. Very mild. Phone triage if you are concerned. I know they wanted to be sure I wasn't in early labour before letting me go.

Oh I remember when I went to the hospital in pregnancy and they put the things on my belly that monitors baby heartbeat, and contractions showed up on the screen! They said it's normal bh contractions and everyone gets them Andy you don't always feel them but sometimes you do. Also they feel different to everyone.
The ones I felt were all in my lower back, as was my labour pains. My mum never got back ones tho and always got them on the front of her belly.

That sounds sore. My BH felt like a tightening, with my bump going rock hard for a v short time. Didn’t hurt particularly. It doesn’t sound that’s what you’re experiencing. If it’s different to your spd pain could you get it checked out?

I've had Braxton Hicks since 26 weeks,

They should not be painful they cause your entire bump to go solid and you can feel your belly tightening however if any period like pain alongside them I was told to call triage right away as could be a sign of preterm labour,

I was given the advice to call whenever I have more than 1 every 15mins or if I get the tightenings alongside period like pains in m lower belly and back.

Try not to worry however I would call triage and have a word :) xxx

Hmm no tightening sensations and nothing at all at top of bump just low around my back, hips and groin.

Maybe I overdid it with the walking the other day...
