8 weeks pregnant and starving!

I'm only 8 weeks pregnant (with twins!) and am constantly starving! As in could continuously eat all day every day! Is this normal? And if so what kinds of healthy foods have people found good to manage their appetite! I've been very overweight in the past and I'm worried this hunger will lead me to falling into unhealthy habits again and binging. I'm seeing my midwife in a couple days but in the meantime any advice would be very much welcomed!

Try and fill up on protein (much more filling than carbs!) and veggies Smile

I used to find that a glass of milk helped too.

Yup I remember week 8 with my twins. Was ravenous. Still have the odd day but that week was something else!

I think you might be growing the placenta that week.

I was mainly hungry in the morning so toast, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, flapjack did me.

I had to eat every two hours in those early weeks or I felt as though I was going to collapse. I couldn't stop snacking it was mental. After a while it just got better and the time between needing to eat increased. Now at 22 weeks my normal 3 meals a day without snacks is fine. Stock up on healthy bits like carrot sticks, cherry tomatoes, high protein yoghurt etc. It will get better in time.
