Booking c section

Am 16 weeks with my second. DS was a planned section due to pelvis issues (date was bought forward due to high blood pressure/reduced movements)

Have already spoke to vbac midwife who has said a vbac wouldn’t be an option due to pelvis, which is fine I already knew that. I’ve got my first appointment with the consultant at 21 weeks, is it likely they will book me in there and then? And I’m hoping they will refer me back to midwives or will I stay as consultant care due to the c section?

You will probably go back to midwives and then probably get a date about 36/37 weeks for a 39 -40 week elective section.

Every hospital is different but thats what mine would do.

I got my section date booked and confirmed when I was 32 weeks so it could depend on your trust. I'd ask at your next appointment how far in advance dates are given. I am booked for 39+0 days and have a new found respect for women going to 40+ as it cannot come soon enough

My trust is the same. I saw my consultant this week and was told I'd be having a c section but won't have a date until 33weeks. The most information i was given was "before 39weeks"

Had my appointment to book in yesterday at 36+2, booked for 39+0.

I've always had my c section date booked about 13 weeks pregnant at the consultant appointment.

They usually book you in for week 39 if they can and not bank holidays or weekends.
I was booked in at week 37 which felt late seeing as I'd had DC1 at 35 weeks but I did get to my date just a couple of days before due date.
