Oh boy yes I did. PUPPPS. It was the most intense horrible itchy rash I've ever had in my life. I slathered calamine lotion on it day and night as it was infuriating. It was on my feet to my shoulders. It was just awful. It went away after birth but then came back when I breastfed. I had to take antihistamines to stop the itching. I really feel for you if you have this too.

Sorry don’t know what happened there!

But this is my second pregnancy and I never had anything like this in my first one. But I’ve got tiny red spots like heat rash spots near my armpits, inside of my elbows, behind my knees and between my thighs. The thigh ones are SO itchy it’s horrible, they feel ever so dry. I don’t really know what’s best to put on them, I bought some e45 for extra dry skin cream and also this week bought some anti itching cream to try. But can’t seem to figure out what’s best. Any advice would be brill thanks

I googled about it and that was what seemed to come up! It’s like little bumpy spots. Never had such a breakout like this before! It’s so horrible. Does it really not go away until after baby??

Mine didn't, sorry! I found calamine lotion the biggest help though. I poured the entire bottle into a spray bottle and literally sprayed it on, rather than rubbing it with a cloth. Also, I did ask at the Drs and they gave me some steroid cream which helped a little. It was the worst part about pregnancy. It started off with itchy feet on the top and then just spread. I'd wake up bleeding as I'd scratched in my sleep and in the stretch marks. Urgh! Sorry this is not what you want to hear.

I had PUPPS too, although I was lucky that it was only for 2 weeks before I gave birth, and didn't carry on through breastfeeding. Antihistamines, calamine lotion and grandpa pine soap (you can get it on Amazon) provided short term relief from the itching.

My GP also prescribed be a short course of steroids which helped the rash go away but didn't do an awful lot for the itching.

You have my sympathy, it was absolutely maddening and I was black and blue from scratching. Flowers

Eurgh I was hoping it was going to clear up but it’s just not really doing a lot! Did it look like prickly heat rash? The ones on my chest are no longer red ones though, they’ve turned into the colour of my skin and my skin just looks bumpy! Must get some calamine lotion tomorrow to ease the itching slightly and maybe another trip to the docs (feel like I’m always there with either me or my little boy at the min). Thanks so much for the advice!!

God yeah that pic is identical to what my thighs are like!! It’s in other places but not as bad as there.

I hope it clears up for you soon! Good luck! How much longer do you have to go?

newmummytonoah2016 · 16/02/2018 20:24

I’m only coming up to 25 weeks so I’ve got what feels like an eternity with this rash now haha.
