Thought i was 11 weeks. Foetus measuring 5-6

Hi all,
Just a quicky. My lmp was 11 weeks ago. Did I pregnancy early jan and it came back positive. However, started having brown discharge and panicked. Paid for an early scan and the foetus is showing at 5-6 weeks and I thought I was 11 weeks.
So, this could go one of 2 ways.

1. The baby stopped growing at 5 weeks and I’ll start to mc soon.
2. My weeks are completely screwed up, i ovulated late and got pregnant right around the time I did my first test.

We went to the EPU yesterday to take bloods and I’m going again tomorrow. I spoke to the nurse today and she said my HGC count was over 1000 so would correlate with a 5-6 week old foetus. We’ll know more tomorrow after my next blood test.

Has this happened up you before? I’m thinking the worst as suffering from period pain like cramps but the brown discharge has subsided slightly.

Any advice either positive or negative outcomes would be great

Don't know if this will be helpful or not, the same sort of thing happened to my mum when she was pregnant with me, she was adamant she was 16 weeks pregnant but only measured something like 10 or 11. She reckons she must have miscarried the other foetus and then gotten pregnant straight after without realising if that makes sense, don't know if this could be the same possibility in your case? I'm sorry,OP, this has happened to me several times but it's always been a miscarriage

I'm in a very similar situation myself. Thought I was 8 weeks but got told yesterday at a scan that I was 5 weeks and I'm bleeding too. Have been bleeding for a few days now and will have another scan next week to see what's happening. I think I'm having a miscarriage but I know for some people they can go on and have a healthy baby after this situation - this happened to a friend of mine.
