There is no point to this other than to vent whinge

Am about 5 weeks pregnant and just feeling very sorry for myself. I've been on citalopram for the last 8 months
(antidepressants) but have been cutting back the dosage and have managed to come off completely in the last week, so am getting withdrawal symptoms. Then add in the early pregnancy tiredness & general queasy/ unsettled stomach feelings seem to have kicked in, as has starting to feel grossed out by certain foods, mostly anything soft and wet, like pasta, which I normally love, so that's making me sad. Then on top of that my toddler has given me a stonking cold so I'm snotty and achey and my face is sore and I generally just want to curl up in a ball and stop existing for a bit.

To summarise... waaah!

You definitely have a right to feel sorry for yourself with all of that on your plate! The first trimester is hell in my experience without adding in the mix of life. Just take it one day at a time. Before you know it things will calm down and you won’t feel so rubbish. If you feel that comIng off the AD’s is not helping matters then don’t be a martyr, go and speak to your gp or your midwife. Pregnancy can be really tough, we know it’s worth it in the end but boy can it knock the stuffing out of you 💐

Thanks choc. I'm feeling even worse today, of possible! Thankfully my parents have dd today so I can at least just spend the day in bed. Dreading going back to work as of Monday though! Cheers for the reply.
