I'm going to have my scan next Tuesday and was wondering if anyone had pics to share to see if you can see much on the scan?

If you google, you can see lots online that people have uploaded.

In all honesty at 7 weeks, it sort of looks like a blob. You also see the heart beating away which was a tear jerker.

Aria2015 · 15/02/2018 18:19

My lo as he was at 7 weeks 5 days (according to the measurement) - you can make out the head and the buds where the arms and legs are starting to grow.

This was mine at 7+2, the main part is the yolk sac, the baby was just a little line at the right hand side but saw a heartbeat :) good luck with yours!

@unicorncow @Aria2015 it's amazing how each scan is different! I'm so excited for mine but worried in case there's something they find wrong! But on the plus side at least I'm having a scan 😁

That's my latest scan, I was 12+2 there, it's mad how much they develop in such a short space of time!! @Markygirl1995

@unicorncow did you find waiting for the 12 week scan after 7 went quick or did it drag for you?

dippyeggandsoldiers · 15/02/2018 19:02

This was mine at 7&1 😊 I'm now 36&4 😬

@Markygirl1995 I felt it took forever to be honest! I couldn't wait though and booked a private scan for 9 weeks but then at 10 weeks I had a massive bleed and was rushed to hospital, thankfully the baby was fine and we had a quick scan to check, we've got a gender scan booked for 28th Feb, I'm 14+2 now and starting to feeling little flutters!

Markygirl1995 · 15/02/2018 19:07

@dippyeggandsoldiers they'll all so different but interesting too! Congrats by the way how's the pregnancy been? @unicorncow that's the only thing I'm worried about is if I get hooked on scans that I constantly want to go to make sure all is ok!

@Markygirl1995 it's been an amazing journey, I'm a first time mum.. I'm just ready to have her out now! I'm sick of waddling around 😂

jellycrumble · 15/02/2018 19:29

Hi @Markygirl1995! I know exactly what you mean - I've had 2 private scans so far, and 3 NHS ones - I had one at 6/7 weeks due to bleeding but never got to take home a photo - it looked like a little kidney bean with a tiny flickering heart! No matter how small you'll love to see them and it's a lovely moment. I'm so tempted to book another one but I need to calm down and know it's all ok.

I've had 2 MCs before so never had any "proper" scan photos! Had my 20 week one a few weeks ago and she had completely flipped the other way! They grow so much each time you see them! I've attached some pics of mine if that's ok? Good luck!! Smile

Markygirl1995 · 15/02/2018 20:10

@dippyeggandsoldiers aww amazing you must be excited! Do you want to know the gender or will you keep it as a surprise? @jellycrumble wow the photos look amazing shows how much they grow in such a short space of time! I had a miscarriage too and never got a scan done which I wish I had just to see how properly far I was and what they looked like. How soon did you fall pregnant after a miscarriage?

Pinkslink17 · 15/02/2018 20:45

This was mine at 7+3 and was internal

Markygirl1995 · 15/02/2018 20:49

@Pinkslink17 do they usually do internal?

OP posts:
Pinkslink17 · 15/02/2018 20:59

@Markygirl1995 they did an internal with mine because it was an emergency scan so I hadn't managed to work up a full bladder before hand! So I'd be prepared for either, they tried to do a normal ultrasound but said straight away my bladder wasn't full enough to see much when it's so early so they did an internal x

jellycrumble · 15/02/2018 21:01

@Markygirl1995 I had my latest miscarriage about 3 years ago Sad So really hoping nothing goes wrong with this pregnancy! The anxiety and the constant worrying is just horrible but I know I need to stay calm for the baby. Really hope everything is okay for you next week! Keep us updated, you'll soon find after this scan that the 12 week one arrives pretty quickly! I had my private scan at 10 weeks and you could make out so much more. The 7 week one may be internal but they usually try on your tummy first.

Markygirl1995 · 15/02/2018 21:05

@Pinkslink17 @jellycrumble I'm sure you'll be okay with your current pregnancy how far were you when had your miscarriage? I have a feeling I was 9 weeks when I lost mine. I'm worried about the internal too because I've noticed inside it's got tighter from the blood flow so don't want it to hurt 🙈

OP posts:
jellycrumble · 15/02/2018 21:50

@Markygirl1995 first was at 6 weeks the second was at 10 weeks... they're so soul destroying aren't they. The internal ones don't hurt at all, they basically put loads of lube type stuff on the wand first and it's very slim - nothing to worry about Grin

Markygirl1995 · 15/02/2018 21:58

@jellycrumble in all fairness I don't think I'm completely over mine but me and my partner wanted to try again so I'm hoping this pregnancy will be successful! I've fallen pregnant straight after miscarriage so I'm hoping the risks will be lower! I hope they do try over the belly first before internal but yeah maybe won't be as painful if it's slim!

laurenann · 15/02/2018 22:32

6+5 :) saw the heart beat too!

Pinkslink17 · 15/02/2018 23:06

@Markygirl1995 honestly it's not too bad but a little uncomfortable, they were checking my tubes for an ectopic so she was quick vigorously moving it side to side! To be honest once the scan is on the screen you kind of detach from it anyway as I could see the heart beat and mine was quite clear on the screen! Best of luck x

Markygirl1995 · 16/02/2018 06:56

@laurenann so tiny but still noticeable congrats too by the way hope all is going well

OP posts:
Markygirl1995 · 16/02/2018 06:57

@Pinkslink17 ohhh ok! Kind of excited now! I hope I see the heart beat, does that give you some kind of reassurance for a healthy pregnancy do you think?

FuckMyUterus · 16/02/2018 07:54

Hi guys, can I ask, were all these early scans zoomed in a lot? The only reason I ask is on my private scan the baby is measuring correct at 8 weeks 1 day, but my sac looks extremely small :( but then, my bladder wasn't full and it was abdominal not trans vaginal so unsure if that affects it.
