Peak morning sickness

When did your morning / all day sickness peak? I'm 11w and the last few days have been worse than ever. I'm tired and fed up of having to think about what to eat or how u can avoid throwing up.

I know that it won't go from peak levels to normal overnight but how long did it take from your peak to feeling normal?

It's really variable. With my first the peak was definitely around 9 weeks and I had no more nausea after about 10 weeks (though food aversions continued for maybe another month). With my 2nd, I had nausea all the way through but it was really manageable, but then it really peaked around 12-13 weeks. It went away shortly after that.

It's possible you're having the sort of late 1st tri peak like I did, which was awful because I was ready to be done with it, but it really did go away quickly after it was its worse.

Sometimes the thought of 13 weeks being the end is a bearable thought whereas other times like today, it seems inconceivable that I can cope until that far away. I don't know how women with HG cope.

Mine started after 12 weeks and stopped at about 25 weeks... sorry!

God that thought terrifies me!

I'm 7 weeks, have had crippling nausea for 2 weeks already and I just know this will go on for weeks more for me. This is dc4 and I've never had it so badly. I've lost all energy and can't do anything!! (I'm miserable!!)

In my other pregnancies the nausea has eased up between 13-16 weeks.

kirinm · 14/02/2018 10:21

Mine started at about 6 weeks. I had a few okay days around 8 weeks and since then it's just been crap but a definite worsening since Saturday.

Mine peaked about 12 weeks then slowly got better and by 16 weeks was completely gone. I hoped that I’d wake up one day an feel fine but was a bit slower than that and until 20 weeks I still had to eat regularly as in couldn’t delay lunch by much but I didn’t have to eat constantly like in the early weeks

About 7-8 weeks and kind of trailed off at about 16-18 weeks. By week 8 I was throwing up every morning until about lunchtime.

Yeah, both times it went at around 15/16 weeks, although with DD2 I felt faintly queasy the whole way through.
