Leaking amniotic fluid?

I'm over anxious, I know this but I have something else I'm dwelling on and hoped someone would set my mind at rest.

I've been wearing a sani pads for the past couple of months as every time I coughed or sneezed a bit of wee would escape. The last few days I've noticed that the pad seems constantly wet, and it doesn't overly smell of weeks. Now worrying it may be amniotic fluid escaping?

I'm 25 weeks if that makes a difference.

I'd call the midwife and go and get checked.
You can buy pads in boots that detect amniotic fluid but they are really expensive.

I had the same concern in my last pregnancy and saw my doctor who was able to rule it out very quickly. Give your MW a call just to be on the safe side.

It's unlikely to be amniotic fluid as this would more than likely soak through your pads very quickly. It could be increased discharge which is very common in pregnancy but always best to get it checked out to be certain.
