Does anyone have any experience or know any one in similar situation? I'm 19 weeks with my first, just need some reassurance and positivity, but over all think I'm doing ok :) x

I have a close friend with BPD. Her DC is 8 now and she is an amazing mum!!

What I would say is that you need really good support in place. If your trust has a perinatal mental health team, absolutely accept a referral to them! Have you discussed your medications with someone as well?

Ahh good on her!
I was refused help by the perinatal service!!!! Don't even ask me how I try not to think about that because it's a real life f@??;;&(ng p!!!ss take! And the less said about it the better.
Luckily I was already heavily involved with my community mental health team and my psychiatrist got me a therapist who I will now see weekly for at least six weeks :)
I think having a baby will give me something positive to concentrate on and be proud of.
Thanks for replying x
