Pregnant after miscarriage

Just become pregnant again booking myself in today for an early scan. Worried incase I’ll miscarry again but does anyone know what the chances of that are happening again if I managed to all pregnant after miscarrying in December? I just want some reassurance! Keep getting these weird sensations and checking to see if there’s blood when I go to the loo any help or advice someone can give me

I had a miscarriage then fell pregnant with dd 3 within a fortnight. I kept getting positive test results so insisted the GP sent me for s scan. And yes I was pregnant and dates worked out that two weeks post miscarriage I had conceived again.

I had some light bleeding in the pregnancy and pains but nothing as bad as with the misc and certainly no clots. Dd3 is now 16 and very healthy. Try and relax.

Hi! I had a miscarriage last year at around 8 weeks. I'm now in my second pregnancy at 15 weeks. Yes it's scary and all you think about is what if I miscarry but I'm sure you'll be fine. You just have to try not to worry x

@Markygirl1995 sorry to hear of your loss op. you technically don't have any increased risk of miscarriage at all if your first was back in December. Although it's truly devastating and people don't fully understand the impact it has unless you've been through it, it's very very common. Try not to panic, although perfectly normal given what you've been though. Take each step at a time. I found the early scan really reassuring.

First try not to stress. New egg, new sperm, new baby. I’m pregnant after a mc (longer gap tho) like you I wanted reassurance I googled and googled. The odds of mc after a mc are very low however it’s obviously possible. Your odds of mc drop every day your pregnant for and after you’ve seen a heartbeat they drop lower still.
I’m 15 weeks now but in the very early days when I found myself anxious I’d tell myself “I’m pregnant today. Nothing bad has happened and I’ve no reason to worry” I said it out loud tbh as I needed to hear it. I also set small mile stones get to tomorrow, get to Thursday, get to weekend, get to the scan and so on.

It’s something like a 2% chance of consecutive miscarriage after having one I think. I THINK. I can’t actually remember for sure but that seems to ring a bell. You’re basically very unlikely to suffer another miscarriage but of course it’s a possibility. The time it’s taken you to fall pregnant again has no bearing on whether you will miscarry again. The best advice I can give is to take each day as it comes and just get through. Sleep when you need to, eat what you can and keep as busy as possible.

I had two miscarriages last year and I’m now 31 weeks pregnant after falling straight away after my second miscarriage. Not everyday is easy and the first trimester in particular is incredibly hard but there is hope. I wish you all the best.

Hi, not sure how far I am yet need to book in an early pregnancy scan today so really unsure i had slight bleeding spotting at the beginning of January but was putting that down to the rest of miscarriage

Miscarriage is so so common, it happens to so many of us. Most of the time it means nothing about your chances of conceiving/carrying again.

I had several MCs before my daughter was born. I worried for the first three months of her pregnancy (none of mine ever got beyond 12 weeks before). I was upset on the way to the 12-week scan because I was convinced there'd be no heartbeat. However, the worry did drop off a bit after that, and certainly after the 20 week scan.

I went on to have a straightforward second pregnancy with no MCs before it.

To this day I look at the loo roll after every pee. Eighteen months of checking for blood before DD came along have made it automatic.

Dropped my scan form into the hospital and the lady was no help at all, said I ant scan unless I’m over 7 weeks told her I’m not sure how far I am as it’s just a dating scan and she was still clueless! I just want to ace my scan to make sure it’s there and everything is fine!

I just worry all the time to the fact I want to be scanned ASAP so I can see the baby because last time I never got to option to I had to wait 10/12 weeks for the first scan. At the moment I haven’t got anything booked in which is frustrating too becaus no one knows how far gone I am
