After spending the first 8 weeks of my pg feeling really really tired and knackered the whole time, the day i hit the 9 week mark my energy levels seemed to shoot up! I now feel almost normal again (except for my aching boobs and sudden urges for food) and it's great!

Last night for instance, my boss asked me to stay for a "couple of hours" to help work on a document. I finally left the office at 1.45am but still managed to get up at 7.30am and come into the office for my normal start time of 9.30am.

So as I'm nearing my second trimester, i am now in the "glow" period?

I still sometimes think that perhaps i'm not really pg because with the exception of my sore boobs and no periods (and rollercoaster emotions, according to my DP), i do actually feel "normal" again!

Yippee!!!

i remember when i was pg and was sooo knackered and drained till i got to 16 weeks and i had all this energy for a WEEK!...then it went back to being knackered for the rest of my pg!!

I'm 17 weeks pg with my first and since yesterday, have had lots of energy. DH was delighted that I finally spent the entire evening with him conscious

Yay, go have sex quick! Honestly, do it, you never know how far away your next shag will be!

RGPargy · 01/05/2007 21:51

LMAO @ bucket!!! You must be living in my bedroom cupboard or summat because that is just soooooo true!! My poor DP has been gagging for weeks but i've just not had the energy!

He'll have to wait til tomorrow at least tho coz i only had 4 hours sleep last night so i'm in for an early night tonight!!

My energy is rebounding a bit (iI'm at 12 and a half weeks now) and I'm hoping it will last a couple of months, but I don't want to push it. I still like my afternoon nap, but I don't need it like I did a couple of weeks ago. And I'm starting to exercise a bit more again, too.

@ RGPargy - lucky you with the energy, enjoy!!!!!

I am very much looking forward to the 'glowing' stage, and at the moment (11+5) feel very much more 'scummy mummy' than yummy mummy!

aikigypsy sorry to go off topic but just noticed where you lived on your profile! I am in Scotland but worked in western Mass. as a student and also went there on honeymoon. Love it, I am jealous of you!

Back to topic, I am 9wks and have noooooooo energy, not a bit, it is awful! Can't wait for it to come back. DH keeps asking when I will start "glowing"...!

RGPargy · 05/05/2007 20:44

Well my energy levels did deplete after i started this post lol. but i think that was because i worked late (til 2am) on Monday which really wiped me out for the rest of the week.

Hopefully this bank holiday will provide me with the massive sleep attack i need so i'll be right as rain next week (for more overtime!).

More off-topic... Western Mass is nice, but I'm quite happy being in the city for now. I'll probably go live with my parents for a month or two around the time of the birth, but I haven't really decided yet.

I keep saying that my energy's back, and certainly I don't get winded as easily, but I still need more sleep and naps than I did pre-pregnancy.

RGPargy · 05/05/2007 20:46

Oh and i seem to have more energy since i found a decent sports bra in Matalan that holds my boobs up and stops them crushing my chest lol.

You may think i'm exaggerating, but trust me, i'm not!!
