Thank you so so much ladies. You've all cheered me up and made me less worried.

I remember the doctor saying to take it till 12 weeks and I read nhs says till 12 weeks but the doctor is ringing me back tomorrow about it but I do remember her telling me to take toll 12 weeks so maybe I will continue as it'll be one tablet tonight so prob won't harm ..

I've been taking folic acid for months now too :) do I need to
Take any other things

Hi lass

Congratulations!

PCOS sufferer here too and in 2013 we were told never be able to have kids and our area the criteria for IVF is stupid strict and Clomid isn't authorised until on programme.

Well after 10 years of trying and me falling very I'll (stupid internal blood loss etc) I found out I was pregnant 2 days after st paddys in 2014 and had daughter in November.

I'm now pregnant with #2 with no help whatsoever and still in shock as due in August.

Way to go kicking PCOS ass!!!

Alicejj8x · 08/02/2018 21:34

Omg congrats to you that's amazing.
Not the part about you being poorly though!'

I bet your so so happy

Thank you so much I just hope this doesn't end in miscarriage as I don't know if I'd be able to deal with that again :(

Then I panicked and think what if it's wrong but I did a clear blue digi and it says 1-2 weeks which is mega early but doesn't that mean 3-4 weeks really?..

Fingers crossed everything goes okay

Thank you xx

So I can get an early scan in 2 week time the fertility clinic said they wanted to scan me early

I am so so scared of miscarriage again :/
I am on merformin & they told me to keep taking it as it reduces the risk of miscarriage

Congratulations!

I was in metformin when ttc and when I had my booking in appointment with the midwife I was told to keep taking it and was automatically put under consultant care. I saw the consultant at the hospital when I went for my 12 week scan and he took me off it and discharged me back to midwife care for the rest of my pregnancy as I had no need to be in it anymore and no other high risk factors. So far my pregnancy has been normal and easy. Don't be alarmed if your midwife refers you to a consultant in the first instance because of the metformin, it's also fine to take when pregnant.

Alicejj8x · 09/02/2018 12:56

Thank you. I did ring my fertility clinic today and the nurse told me to carry on taking it up till 12 weeks

Congratulations and I am glad it's all going well for you

I am just panicking about miscarriage now

I have an early scan booked in for a few weeks time as they wanted to check and give me an early scan I'm just so so worried xx

Can anyone help me work out how far gone I am

I did a clear blue digi and it said 1-2 weeks but I've heard that technically I'm classed as a
Month already

The app says 5 weeks + 4?

My last period started on the 1st jan
I think I ovulated late and ovulated on the 26th jan

I don't know how to work it out

OP posts:
Didntcomeheretofuckspiders · 10/02/2018 18:13

Until you have a scan they’ll go by your LMP so 5+4 is right. However you’re probably more like just over 4 weeks if you ovulated late, which would make sense with the digital test as they work from conception so you basically have to add two weeks to whatever they say.

Alicejj8x · 10/02/2018 18:42

@Didntcomeheretofuckspiders
It's so confusing isn't it lol. Yeh I am 100% sure i ovulated late but like you say I won't know till I get my scan how far gone I am

Maybe 4 weeks is about right as I'm not really feeling any major sickness or signs yet expect sore boobs and sooo tired lol x

Just can't stop thinking about MC.! Xx

So did this again today. Week after I found out I was pregnant.
I'm hoping it's a good sign as my hormones going up

I had a early early scan Tuesday just gone and they couldn't see anything expect lining thickening and a big white line going through/ in my endometrium which apparently is a good sign??

I have a scan booked for Monday with the fertility clinic so I hope I can see something then :/

Anyone have advice or been through similar

Alicejj8x · 20/02/2018 13:31

So a little update.
My scan went well I think they couldn't find a gestational sac but they said everything is in the right place so far

Could this be just because I am super early which I know I ovulated later??

Anyone else had this similar situation or advice. ??

Didntcomeheretofuckspiders · 20/02/2018 14:12

My first scan was like that - I was much earlier than I thought! But I had another one two weeks later which showed a little blob with a heartbeat which they dated at 6+2 (although they’ve since changed my due date at the 12 week scan so I was actually 6+6). All is well now at 13 weeks!

Do you have another scan booked?

Alicejj8x · 20/02/2018 14:32

@Didntcomeheretofuckspiders
Oh wow that's reassuring to know then.. thank you. And so glad to hear it's all going well for you :)!!

Yes my next scan is booked for the 28th so next Wednesday. I just hope something progresses and we can see more than a little blob this time lol. It's just so hard as I know I'm early so I think it's normal to not see a sac atm. X

Bluebirdsky · 20/02/2018 15:18

Congratulations!! Definitely BFP! I would call your GP about the metformin as soon as you can, women do take it in pregnancy for diabetes so it won't harm but you may not need to carry on now.

Alicejj8x · 20/02/2018 15:44

@Bluebirdsky thank you!
I am with the fertility clinic so they are organising all of my scan appointments etc and the doctors know but told me coz they are organising it they won't do anything in terms of my scans which is fine

I had An early scan yesterday and they said everything is in the right place but was to early to see a gestational sac which worried me but after some googling and looking on here I think it's pretty normal to not see a sac so early on! I think I'm around 4 weeks possibly abit earlier. So I've got another scan next Wednesday to see what's changing but fingers crossed it's moving in the right way

OP posts:
Alicejj8x · 20/02/2018 15:45

@Bluebirdsky also I
I did ask about the metformin and she told me to Continue taking it till 12 weeks as it can help reduce miscarriage xx

OP posts:
Bluebirdsky · 20/02/2018 15:54

Oh that's good to know! I had an early scan at 6 weeks and they couldn't see anything conclusive; I think it's quite normal earlier on. I had a repeat scan at 8 weeks and then it was obvious!
I know it's hard but try not to worry sounds like your scan was as expected for how many weeks you are.

Alicejj8x · 20/02/2018 16:08

@Bluebirdsky thank you!

Ahh that's good to hear about your story. Is everything okay with your pregnancy after you had that 8 week scan?..

Yeh I think your right I think where I'm so so early atm not much can be seen. But I'm keeping positive atm as she told me that everything is in the correct place so surly that's. Good sign and my clear blue went from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 xx

OP posts:
Bluebirdsky · 20/02/2018 17:54

Yes everything is fine, I am 21 weeks and have my anomaly scan tomorrow :)
My clear blue tests did the same as yours so I definitely think that is a good sign.
I remember the wait between scans though, it's really hard, even though you know you should chill out it's not that easy, you just want a sign that everything is ok!

Alicejj8x · 20/02/2018 20:33

@Bluebirdsky ahh congrats I'm
So glad everything
Is okay and hope that scan goes okay for you :)

Ahh wow did they that's so reassuring to know! Yeh I know I should chill out but I think where I had that MMc before I'm always fearing the worst. I wish I was blissfully unaware of any complications but my guard is well & truly up atm till next week

But I imagine I'm
Just to to early and hopefully next week I'll have abit more peace of mind. Thanks xx
