A question had been bugging me that popped up on my head.

I went for my 12 week scan and everything was fine the baby was gone was measuring 12 weeks.

I was just thinking would my baby get the 12 week stage of my placenta wasn't working?

I'm a little confused by when you mean when you said your baby had gone?

Pittcuecothecookbook · 05/02/2018 22:06

Huh?

Dorabean · 05/02/2018 22:06

When should be what! Do you mean baby was fine, rather than gone?

Do you have a concern about your placenta?

Lj8893 · 05/02/2018 22:06

I don't understand what you mean?

Sandra800 · 05/02/2018 22:13

Sorry it's the auto correct on my phone. I mean the baby is fine. So sorry for the confusion.

When I went for my 12 week Scan everything was good. However the lady who did my scan made a comment which she stuck in my head I asked her where my placenta was and she said is laying at the bottom and I asked out of curiosity if it's ok and looks like it's should for 12 weeks to which she replied yeah it's looks fine but it's not fully function yet... To which I was really confused as I thought by 12 weeks it would be fully functioning

Placenta can take over between 13-15 weeks... So it's not always fully functioning at 12 weeks. That's one of the reasons that morning sickness tends to go by 14-15 weeks. X

Oh ok... To be honest my sickness has gone for the past week. I just pray eveythings ok with the baby xx

They don't usually mention the placenta's position until the 20 week scan. I wouldn't worry about it Smile

Thank you xx
