Hi all, new to this but I'm hoping a kind lady will take a look at my post & be able to advise me. I am 28 already a mum of a boy now 5.

My last period ended on 18th dec 2017, I know this as my husband was away weekend of the 16th and I finished period just after. My cycle is usually regular and shorter around 5days, with a 28 day cycle.

Anyhow Xmas came, I was due on around January 8th 2018.. and then again beginning week of February 18 (we are now on feb 5th) making me again a few days late for my SECOND missed cycle.

I took a few tests after missed period in jan , all negative so I assumed I wasn't expecting and hoped period would show up but nothing again this month yet and I am scared to do anymore tests as hate the disappointment.

Last month (jan) had no symptoms at all apart from feeling very bloated which I put down to missed period . But the last 2-3 weeks I have had boobs that turned from being sore to being absolute agony when I walk/move around they are throbbing . My mood has dropped and I feel absolutely wiped out exhausted. My tummy feels fuller than ever and I feel genuinely uncomfortable and have been having head aches also. Then the obv symptoms my two missed periods .

I had this with my son I missed two cycles they dated me at 7 weeks however at scan was actually only just over 5 weeks indicating I fell pregnant towards the second cycle i missed .

Could this be happening again and what do u all think I should be doing ? Obv one is to take another test but I don't want the disappointment to delay my period further if I'm not :(

Thank you for reading xx

I doubt disappointment would delay your period tbh. I'd book in to the doctors and let them know your symptoms if I were you. It's always better to be safe than sorry, as what you've described can be the signs of more sinister conditions and it's best to get them identified early. Don't worry about it at this stage but do get it checked out fairly urgently if you POAS and its still negative. Hope you get the results you want.

Mrstobe90 · 05/02/2018 07:12

I'm really sorry but no one on the internet can tell you if you're pregnant. The only thing that can do that is a test.
Hope you get the result you want x

Thank you ladies . I will book emergency app I think . Was kind of waiting around for Aunty too but as she hasn't shown and I'm becoming more uncomfortable I think it's better just to check anyway. Appreciate the kindness ty x

Would it not make more sense to just take a test and see if you are pregnant than book a doctors appointment? The first thing the doctor will say is "any chance you are pregnant?". I've randomly missed periods and there's been nothing wrong and I wasn't pregnant. Equally I didn't get a positive test until almost 2 weeks late with my 2nd child, I just ovulated much later than normal.

Dunkers89 · 05/02/2018 08:47

I have an app today I've just called I am also going to test today. I have only booked app because of my symptoms and me feeling so under the weather especially my tummy /boobs I've never had boobs this sore it's so painful . Thank you all x

Take a test first.

Dunkers89 · 05/02/2018 08:55

Thank you I will do one as soon as I'm able this morning, app isnt until 1130. I am usually regular and track my cycles so this is unusual and as the same happened with my son i Just want to be sure. Many thank you's again ladies XX

I agree with PP that you just need to test. If you are newly pregnant you don't need a GP appointment.

Dunkers89 · 05/02/2018 08:59

I will test obv but if it's negative and I am still feeling under the weather obv I would like to be checked with gp to make sure it's not anything else that's all. I'm not going to waste doctors time cant remember the last time I even went to gp (lol) x

This is why people in need can't get doctors appointments. Take the test. If it's neg THEN book your appt.

Dunkers89 · 05/02/2018 09:02

I have not in any way said that I will waste the time of any gp I would simply like to be checked if test before hand is negative as to why I may be skipping my cycles !

I have said countless times I am just about to test before 1130

You've already wasted the receptionists time.

I've been on the phone since 8am trying to get a docs appt for my very unwell child. But it's ok for you to take one just in case you need it.

Well done you.

Stee1 · 05/02/2018 09:31

Seriously people moaning about doctors appointment? Hope it gets sorted op x

coffeecoffeemorecoffee · 05/02/2018 09:40

Broken - the likelihood of the op being a patient at the same doctors surgery as your child are slim, so there’s no point you taking your annoyance at a lack of appointment out on the OP.

What is it with people picking apart posts on here?! The OP has asked for advice not for an opinion on if she should or should not have pre booked a doctors appointment!!

lucylouuu · 05/02/2018 16:19

why can't th OP go to the doctors? If her test is negative then she should go to the doctors as something else might be wrong
