Hi all,

i would like some opinions!
i had the mirena coil fitted December 22nd and during the last week specifically all ive had is non stop symptoms of early pregnancy... the nauseusness, headaches, tiredness, and mostly a bloated stomach at the bottom. it was my boyfriend who first raised questions over my stomach and my breasts and bum due to me gaining weight to them areas. and all ive had for the time frame is cramps at the bottom of my stomach. the first test was positive and all the ones after have all been negative... the doctor has looked for my coil strings and they are lost however my coil is located in the same place... my urine samples are coming up negative and a blood test was done i was told by my doctor that below a 2 is negative and 2+ is positive. i was 2. therefore partnered up with a negative pregnancy test means am not... has anybody had anything similar?? im going out of my mind crazy.

Generally, a positive followed by a negative is viewed as an early miscarriage, I believe. It would be very early for you to have gained weight, as you wouldn't be far along. I don't know how fitting coils works, but presumably they check you aren't pregnant first?

they disregarded the positive as the current one was negative. that was what i believed but i have read up that in early pregnancy bloating can occur. i would think so. its just a bit confusing as the doctors are sort of fobbing me off, and im reading online about coil users getting pregnant but due to the hormones the coil release its coming up negative. its just worrying as if i am the coil needs to be removed asap to avoid miscarriage or danger to me 😩
