Apologies for the blunt title.

Apart from prunes, what are your remedies. Going to try half a cup of orange juice with hot water, but I need to have some massive farts. Feel like I’m going to pop like a balloon.

A colleague who knows pointed at my tummy the other day and said. “Is that a bump?” And inside I was dying because I’m only 7+3 all I was thinking was,
“Nope. it’s a windy, bloated belly.”

Constipation is so common so the only thing I will recommend is a trip to doctor to get Laxido which is a stool softner and not a laxative.

It just helps everything come out easier as it liquidizes it slightly.

Your prenatal vitamins can be a cuplrate for constipation so be prepared for the long haul.

Keep hydrated and don't strain!

This may sound mad but if you try getting in your hands and knees and crawling round this can help with trapped wind.
An old doctor who was visiting my grandmas friend nearly 40 yrs ago told her this. Poor friend was dying of cancer and had awful painful trapped wind. We often used to call on her and she used to be crawling round her drawing room farting like a trooper!
I have had awful wind problems for years. I do the crawl, also hot water bottle on tummy, peppermint tea and rub belly or your back with a clockwise motion.
The best remedy for constipation I use is a couple of bowls of all bran with chopped banana and a glass of pure orange. It’s obviously not instant but it works and it’s natural.
