Am I right in thinking that you shouldn't eat from the salad bar at a harvester or places like that when pregnant? Or have I imagined that?

You've not imagined it, it's the advice in the States (or at least was). It's fine here (UK)

I would and have. Obviously, any food is only as safe as how it's been processed and stored. If you trust that, then it's fine to eat. In theory, according to food safety regs, the salad bar at Harvester is perfectly safe. Safe as anything else. But it just depends on if you're confident they're doing what they should. For the record, yes, I would (and have) eaten the salad bar at Harvester. If I avoided that, I'd have to avoid all sorts of things that I generally eat, so I don't see the point.

Thanks both - I've been saying to my partner I really fancy going to the harvester for the salad bar now I know it's ok I'm going to dive right in when we go Grin.

I think you are safe eating the salad bar from harvester or Pizza Hut as I have been a few times and I've been fine no problem what so ever only problem is I can't get enough of them salad bars 🙊 they're so good I prefer that to anything else 😂👌
