How long does a show continue?

At 40+5 I had a show. 40+6 I had bloody discharge - went to hospital and they said "it's just discharge" and nothing to worry about unless I start bleeding heavily. Cervix apparently still fully closed. Now 40+7 and still bleeding constantly albeit not heavily.

I'm still worried. Is this normal? I don't feel like bleeding is normal and I'm worried. Can I expect to go into labour or are they still going to pressure me to stick to the induction they've booked for 40+13?

Bleeding isn't normal, call the hospital again.

You should go in/ring them again. I had bleeding instead of a show at 41 weeks - they never found a cause but kept me in and monitored me regularly (even though I wasn’t in labour yet). They were going to induce me but I started having contractions the day after just before the induction would have been. All turned out fine, baby was ok, but I was bleeding throughout with no explanation! Get checked out in case it’s something that needs seeing too. A show shouldn’t be continuous blood afaik.

It shouldn't really be more than a few wipes. Mine with my first was bright red blood (like a period), but two wipes worth and it was gone. Any more bleeding really than that and you need to get checked out. I would call up and demand to be seen again urgently just to be sure all is fine. That's the advice my midwife gave me.
