Since december 5th my lo has dropped to 5thcentile. Have had regular growth scans since then. Lo has also had alternative good and bad results with blood flow thro cord and fluctuating heart rate. Settled last several days at 105bps. His guesstimate as of today is 4.9lbs. Consultant is not overly worried (i am) but he has said he will deliver me at 37 weeks which is next friday by section. Have any of u other mamas out there gone thro this and had positive outcomes regarding weight etc xx

I’m sorry this is happening Flowers but growth scans are notoriously wrong so don’t worry too much. I hope everything goes well!

One of my twins growth slowed a lot from 28 weeks, but the consultants weren't concerned. Unfortunately he stopped moving and I didn't know because the other twin was so active - I just felt really unwell and my midwife convinced me to go in to get checked out. I was 35+1, his heart rate was static and as soon as they realised what was going on, I had an emergency section. He weighed 3.5lb at birth and they they diagnosed IUGR.

It's great that they're keeping an eye on you and your baby, all I can say is how important it is to monitor movement and to go in and get checked out if you're at all concerned in any way, if you feel unwell or don't feel right. Obviously it's easier to monitor movement with one! I'm not saying any of this to scare you at all, just to make you aware - we were very lucky. The twins are now 16 months old and doing well :)

My DD was born at 35+6 weeks weighing 4 pound 5 ounces. She's fine (and currently refusing her nap).
