Hurt my bump :-( could I have done any harm?

I was really stupid today and picked quite a big box up off a shelf at work that I assumed would be light.
It wasn't, it was so heavy and for some stupid reason instead of drop it, I decide to try and rest it on my bump. I am 29 weeks and have quite a big bump.
It hurt instantly and I quickly put it down but all night I've had a pain in my bump, almost like I'm being pinched at the top of it. Baby is still moving around fine.
Can you do any harm like this or not, is it likely to just be a little bruised?

It's probably always worth getting it checked if your unsure, however bumps can take a lots more knocks than you would imagine.

I know this from experience as I am 7 months and have a huge bump...I also have an 11 month old that uses me as a climbing frame daily, knocks it, elbows it, you name it. She also weighs over 2 stone and has to be carried most places as she isn't steady on her feet.

I'm sure it's all fine, just let your midwife know and she will be able to reassure you.

Thanks namechange :-)
Yeah I have a 2 year old too who weighs a ton and insists on being carried alllll the time. This box literally weighed a ton, it had 30 packs of baby wipes in it. I'll see how it feels tomorrow :-)
Thanks

Those bad boys are heavy! Hope everything is ok, drop your midwife a text maybe for some reassurance.

They are and they were in an unmarked Brown box. Grrrrr.

Not got a number for my mw as she doesn't give it out (can u believe!). Have to call doctors surgery instead and see if it's one of her 'in' days.

Are you RH neg?

This seemed to be the concern when my bump (39 wks) got bashed. Had to go for extra anti D jab.

I haven't ever heard of that queenolives so I'd presume that's a no? ! Would they have told my during pregnancy if I was?

It's rhesus negative. Blood related I think you'd know if you were as they give you jabs at various points in pregnancy

Hope all is ok Brew

I would call your maternity triage just to chat it through; you were worried enough to post on here so be worth a phone call
