Hi there my names lucy I'm 27 years old and I'm due to give birth to my little girl on 30th March just on here as I'm looking for any other mums like me or woman who have just became mums as I have lost a few friends because I'm pregnant which is upsetting but would love to make some new ones. I'm living in Luton currently so if you're close by then maybe we can link up and go for coffee or lunches or something. I am more than happy to chat on here otherwise 😃🤗

Hi Lucy I'm also due March 30th as a first time mum but unfortunately I'm from Birmingham lol. Have you tried looking at locall bumps and babies groups, or NCT classes? I've met some lovely ladies on my NCT classes. I'm more than happy to add another friend who's due same time as me on my list :-) you can dm me if u like x

@BunsOfAnarchy I would love to dm you but I have no idea how to do that on here as I'm new to this and I'm got two meetings one on the 13th February and one on the 7th March (that's if I don't pop then 🙈). I had an infant feeding one today but I was the only one there which was disappointing but don't mind talking to you as like a pen pal sort of thing aha

Ugh I totally get the whole losing friends due to being pregnant!! Mine have just outright stopped inviting me anywhere or replying to me! But they’ll all wanna come running back as soon as there is a squishy baby here! I’m unfortunately a bit far too in Coventry, my antenatal classes were full of women a lot older than me, (I’m 26 in March) so hoping to make baby friends when little one is here by going to groups and what not. However being so new to were I live and the baby scene up here it’ll be a struggle to start with! How are you both getting on pregnancy wise?? I’m due on the 17th of Feb and I can’t wait! So done with being pregnant! I just wanna sleep on my front! 😂

@Ct17218 it's horrible isn't it and yeah we're okay I'm 32 weeks as of today. I have only started going to classes as I couldn't really fit them in between work as I was always doing day shifts which was annoying but now on maternity leave thank god. I even felt at work that I wasn't included as much to get together and what not because I was pregnant I mean I can still go to bars or something I'll just drink orange juice or coke what's the problem with that 🤷‍♀️ but I went to an infant feeding class yesterday and it was only me 🙃 no one else showed up so I was like well this is great I don't get a chance to bond with other mums so my domestic partner told me to download this app and mush to connect with other mums on there it's helped a little bit but would be nice to actually make new friends 🙊

I’ve seen that mush app mentioned before! I’ll have to give it a try!

Being pregnant has really shown me who my fair weather friends are!

And just because we can’t drink doesn’t me we can’t be invited! I had it out with one of my friends who did this to me just fore Christmas! I told her I could of even been taxi and that it’s isolating enough being the only pregnant person I know. She has actually been really good since at asking how I am and coming up to see me. Unfortunately sometimes I think people just don’t know how to act around pregnant women.

I almost got into a fight on Halloween I was only three months I think 🤔 🙈 but I used to be friends with this girl but she is pure drama and proper two faced. She used to ask me all the time for money and I said to her (this is before we even fought btw) "look I have a child on the way and I need to focus on having money for myself and for my baby as I want the best life for them" and she pretended to be all ok about it and all but as soon as I turn my back that's when she started making up lies and that about me not being there for her as a friend. The thing is when she says she wants money she means that as in money for her to go out, get drunk and get drugs but she will always give this excuse that her landlord is on her case and she's got bills to pay blah blah blah and then if she doesn't get what she wants she always says she's going to kill herself or something which disgusts me because she always does it and uses her 'mental health' as an excuse but this Halloween night I was out with another so called 'best friend' and I heard her voice and I just flipped out saying "stay the hell away from me and my baby" and she said something like "oh if your having a baby you shouldn't even be out. Like she has no clue like a pregnant woman can go out she just needs to be careful and not drink anything that involves alcohol and that is always something I made sure of

@Ct17218 welcome! I'm so sorry you've had to deal with mates dropping you especially at a time u need them the most. But you will get a new circle of mum friends soon enough who will understand your journey and be more than happy to talk about their pregnancy and late night feeding and leaky nipples etc lol.

My journey has been massively up and down so far. Let me know if u wish to join a small WhatsApp support group (consisting of Lucy and I so far lol) just for some mum to be support and general baby chit chat x
