Can low hcg lead to successful pregnancies?

I'm currently 7+4 weeks. I didn't manage to get a faint positive till just over 6 weeks pregnant and had spotting at 4 weeks does it sound like I have anything to worry about? Has anyone had any similar experiences 😊

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Could you have ovulated late maybe?

Shannan · 31/01/2018 19:28

possibly and my periods are normally every 5-6 weeks not sure if that could have any impact

I had hcg bloods from 4+2 the first one was just 19 even the epau said it was possibly a failing pregnancy but three weeks ago tomorrow my ds3 arrived and he’s perfect

Thankyou 😊 With my other children the hcg level was well into the hundreds with the first hcg tests so to have a result of 19.....I thought there was no hope but he’s perfect x
Good luck I hope all is ok for you 💐

With my most recent pregnancy, I also couldn't get a positive for weeks & even then I could barely see it.

Everything was fine and he's currently snoozing away on my knee. Smile

Is the 7+2 from your last period?

Shannan · 31/01/2018 22:10

Yeah my last period was the 8th of December so that would make me 7+5 today

Those calculations are usually based on 28 day cycles so there is a possibility if you go 6 weeks between periods instead of 4 that you are 2 weeks less pregnant than you think which might explain the late positives. And the spotting at 4 weeks could have been implantation bleed. I'm not an expert tho.
