I know I'm just being incredibly impatient (considering I still have a good 5/6 months left being pregnant!) but oh my lord, I feel like I've been waiting for my midwife booking appointment for years :(!!

I've been waiting for a letter for over two weeks (I'm pretty much 10 weeks by now we think) and I've been one of THOSE people who keeps ringing to chase the process at the doctors!

How did you control yourself while waiting for your appointment? I'm beginning to feel so grumpy as I desperately want a scan to see our baby (even considering £80 for a reassurance scan at this point!).... help me stop going insane please :(

Private scans were my friend, followed by research and planning on what to buy for little one later on. Once passed 12 wks it goes quicker.

So you are 10 weeks and have not had an initial MW appointment? That doesn't seem right to me. I rang up the GP when I was 6 weeks to make a booking for 8 weeks and got an appointment done there and then on the phone. Or am I confused and you are waiting for a scan? Either way just keep bugging them until you get an answer!!!
