Hi all,

Im 18 weeks today and i havent felt the baby move yet. Im starting to think something may be wrong. My morning sickness started again this morning too. Just for background, Im overweight. Does this have an impact of when you feel baby move?

Any advice appreciated Smile

I was about 20 weeks before mine moved, and even then it was just tiny bubbles, barely noticeable.

Hello,

Don't get too stressed out about it - it can be the case that some people don't feel anything up to 25 weeks which is fine. Morning sickness can strike at any time also - happened to me on Monday and I'm 33 weeks, was fine through 1st trimester!

I didn't feel anything for definite until the day after my 20 week scan and thinking about It I probably did have the 'flutters' before which I more than likely put down to wind. I'm overweight also and from what I read it shouldn't have an impact - each pregnancy is different so just hand in there and I'm sure you will be getting the little thumps in no time Smile. Also if your placenta is front facing this may effect movements felt - but you wont know if that's the case until 20 week scan I would think.

I'm just over 18 weeks too and I think I felt something for the first time the other day, it was pretty faint though and if I hadn't been lying completely still i probably wouldn't have noticed it. I don't think it's unusual at all with a first pregnancy.
