Did it take a while for your bfp to show up?

Sorry for posting here when I don't actually know if I'm pregnant or not yet! I'm just so frustrated. DH and I have been trying to conceive for a little while without success. My period was due at the start of the week and I got all the usual cramping. Period didn't show up and still hasn't. I'm about 4 days late (unusual for me). I tested yesterday and today and both came back negative. Has anyone missed a period and not had a bfp til later? Or if I am pregnant should I be getting bfp already? Getting a bit worried :(. Thank you

Hi Sparklee. Please don't worry! There are lots of reasons you might be a few days late. I would test with a FRER tomorrow morning first thing and see what result you get. Good luck!

It has taken a while for me both times. A doctor did a pregnancy test about 10 days post-conception with ds and it came back negative. And with dd it took until 6 days post the day my period should have started to get a positive. Good luck!

Some tests appear to be more sensitive than others (I'm not sure what ones are which, sorry!) so try not to get disheartened.

Fwiw, I was trying a little while too and finally got my bfp two days after a missed period with a Morrison's own brand test, I then confirmed with a clearblue digital the next day as I couldn't believe it was true.

I hope you get your bfp soon!

Yes! My period was due 4 weeks ago and I didn't get a positive test till last Thursday. It does happen. Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much for the responses. Just so annoying! I have 1 symptom- my nipples are killing me! Not even my boobs just my nipples have had a combination of tingling/burning/swelling! I never get this with af, usually the week before my period my boobs hurt but not usually my nipples.

I thought I could see a line but I'm not sure. It looks like it could be a shadow. Maybe try again with FMU in a couple of days?

I tested 4 days after the date I was due my AF
Now I have BFP...
