Is a faint positive 19dpo bad news?

I had a miscarriage in December and have not had a period since. I think I ovulated 19 days ago going from EWCM and possibly a positive on a ovulation test (they were out of date!)

I thought I was out so haven't tested since Saturday (BFN) but I did one today as had lots of watery mucous (TMI) and thought I might be ovulating. That came up negative so thought I'd use my pot of wee for a pregnancy test. A faint line appeared.

What worries me if that id have thought the line would be darker for 19dpo. Or that it should have been positive on Saturday (16dpo). Think I'm overly worried after my miscarriage.

Did anyone's tests look this faint this far along?

That test wasn't FMU if it makes a difference. Done in the afternoon.

Maybe, but honestly those tests are not reliable for strength of line. They’re good for a cheap positive but don’t drive yourself crazy trying to get a darker one. Some of mine were super dark and some weren’t (also those ones have a habit of gathering dye under the flap thing)

Thanks, good to know they can differ. I'll try again in the morning to see what I get.

Here's a slightly clearer picture. It's definitely positive so I'll just hold onto that rather than worry about the darkness.

Despite getting my first hint of a positive on one at 11/12 dpo, I didn’t get a properly dark line on those tests for a couple of weeks after that. I’m now 23 weeks. Best of luck op!

Post miscarriage, test can still remain faintly positive for several weeks. Fingers crossed for you it’s a positive result, just wanted to add another possibility for faint positive

Tannitot · 30/01/2018 19:22

Sorry just seen you didn’t say when in December, just from personal experience it took around 6 weeks for the test to become negative for me and also had signs of ovulation within the same window

BergamotMouse · 30/01/2018 19:31

That's good to hear Lampert. I'm sure I'll test like a maniac over the next few days anyway.

I'd been having negative tests for 3 weeks prior to this tannitot so I'm hopeful it's not just left over hormones.

Just want to show you my tests from last week, to show you how crap these tests can be. I did all 4 tests at the same time same dip time and same urine sample. The internet cheapie was barely visible compared to the others. This was 12dpo.

HoneyCake86 what make of test is the 2nd one down with the pink top. That’s a good strong line compared to the others
